Biography: NC Audrey Chua Hui Chin Nurse Clinician, Inpatient Wards, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital Chua Hui Chin Audrey works as a Registered Nurse since July 2007 when she qualified from Nanyang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Nursing, with a merit award. She gained valuable experience from her posting. In 2008, Audrey obtained her Advanced Diploma in Gerontology. In 2011, Audrey received a distinction in her Bachelor of Nursing course from Curtin University. Her degree has assisted her in putting her theoretical knowledge to her clinical skills. Currently she is working in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, a multidisciplinary hospital in ward B55 (Geriatric Ward) as a Nurse Clinician. Her responsibilities included ensuring that patient care delivery is safe, competent, individualized and carried out according to established standards of care, providing orientation for new staff, coaching skill competency in a specialized area, and assisting in clinical and in-service training. Audrey developed, implemented and audited nursing standards. Audrey monitored that patient care delivery is carried out according to established standards of practice. She also appraised and evaluated performance of staff and nursing students of the ward. She planned, implemented and evaluated preceptorship scheme to strengthen clinical support of new nursing staff. Audrey is presently pursuing her Masters Degree in Clinical Research.
