Term Three...
This term, we introduced strength-based
extension as a new component of our
programme. The children have been given
three options (Art, Writing and ICT) and are
able to explore one, if not two of these areas
over the course of Term Three. More details
of these sessions are outlined to the right.
Strength-Based Extension Options...
Discovering Your Past is a continued focus for
our students, who have covered key aspects
of investigating their heritage. We now move
into the last component of this project, where
we look at immigration in more detail.

My strength-based extension is abstract art. Monday,
Wednesday and Friday students will explore abstract styles of
Pablo Picasso and Wassily Kandinsky. The Tuesday and Thursday
students will explore Claude Monet’s impressionism technique,
and other aspects of abstract art. Mediums include acrylic
paint and pastel.
To help celebrate the learning that has
occurred within this aspect of our
programme, the ‘Spring Fling’ is now
scheduled for your child’s Enrich@ILT day of
Term Three, Week 10, (Monday 22 September
- Friday 26 September). A notice regarding
this even will go home with your child in Week
Eight.

Passion Projects and Talent Development
continue, with many students nearing the
end of their intended process of inquiry.
Entry Selection for 2015 will take place here
at Enrich@ILT on Tuesday 16 September,
Wednesday 17 September and Thursday 18
September. As a result there will be NO
Enrich@ILT classes on those days. Your child
will attend their home school, therefore there
will be NO charge for that day.
Our new website is now up and running - Paul
has done a fantastic job with this overhaul.
Please go to www.enrichilt.weebly.com for
up-to-date information regarding our
programme as well as photos, and links to
student blogs. I’m sure you will love the new
format of the website as much as we do.

This term features the preparation of the second edition of
the Enrich@ILT newspaper, currently being written by our
second and third year students. Our first year students are
focusing on creative writing using the personal narrative voice.
