Over the next two weeks your kindergarten phone and internet connections will be switched from Spark (Telecom) to Vodafone. You will receive a visit from Paul Chamberlain, or a representative from our IT service team (BOS), who will manage this change over for you. There should be very limited disruption to your telecommunication services. While they are visiting they will also be adding a program to your kindergarten computers to allow us to remotely fix any PC issues you have. We will shortly be emailing all head teachers a schedule of when the change over will happen for you. We ask that you arrange for all your computers and laptops to be at the kindergarten on this day. If you have any questions please call Brendon Fyfe-Gits on 04 232 1749 or email on [email protected] KINDERGARTEN PROFILES TUI PARK KINDERGARTEN Tui Park Kindergarten……. is in Linden, Tawa. We are right next to Tui Park and we are often serenaded by Tui birds. We are spoilt for outdoor space that forever changes with the seasons eg, vege patches, fruit trees. We run mixed sessions 5 days per week which supports Tuakana Teina relationships that run strongly throughout our Kindergarten. We are “yes” teachers and believe in honest connections with children, where they are truly listened to by teachers who respect and respond to their needs. Saying yes has had a positive flow on to supporting children's social competency. We love to have fun and laughter is a big part of our day!!!! Our door is always open for whānau and we often have past whānau still stopping in for a cuppa and a catch up. KINDERGARTEN PROFILES TRENTHAM KINDERGARTEN Trentham kindergarten has a mixed age group with an all day session, located in Upper Hutt. We are a teaching team of seven who are all passionate about providing quality learning experiences for children and their families and through this we have developed strong relationships with our community and value whanau contributions and involvement. We value children leading their own learning and showing tuakana-teina towards to each other We have a strong focus on te reo through waiata and tikanga practices and love to share this with the wider community. We are proud of our large outdoor environment which we are redeveloping to stimulate and provide challenges for children, this incorporates new gardens and fruit trees will provide kai for our community well into the future. Back: Karen, Sharon (HT) Front: Kellie, Angela, Debbie , Paula, Marama Our Kindergarten is nestled in the quiet suburb of Papakowhai. Our team consists of 2 full time teachers, 3 part time teachers and a fabulous administrator. We enjoy a large outdoor area with mature trees along with the many native birds who come to feed from them. Our tamariki have interesting places to climb including trees, boxes and the bank which borders Papakowhai School. Family and friends can meet their siblings at the school fence, relax in the hammock or be busy in the many quiet areas having fun. The gardens are nature’s teacher as the tamariki learn to plant and harvest from. We celebrate living in Aotearoa with its dual heritage as well as delighting in rewarding our tamariki with our virtue stones for Caring and Sharing, Friendship and Courage. He iti ra, he iti mapihi Pounamu - Our tamariki may be small but they are very precious. It is massive and so Jonah had to help carry it in. The children thought it was awesome but I think it's fair to say that the dads who were here were even more excited . Sasha is going to bring it in again on Friday so that the keen rugby players in our older Awarua Group can see it too.
