Athletic News
Congratulations to Josef Martin who was named to the MSM 1st All
Conference team for High School Basketball.
There will be a HS Athletic Award Night on May, 15. Girls sports will
be at 6:00 and boys at 7:30 in the Fellowship Hall.

Calvary Academy is in need of volunteer bus drivers for Athletics. The person would need to have a
CDL with a passenger endorsement. We need drivers for all our sports including volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball. We are looking for any volunteers that would be interested. The hours
could be used for PIP Time or Financial Aid hours. Please contact Athletic Director Brittany Welk at

to volunteer with a nonprofit organization that is changing
lives, come to a free informational meeting: Thursday, April 3
from 6:30-7:30pm at Calvary Academy or Tuesday April 8 from

Autumn Meyers received a $3500 scholarship to
attend the HS Summer Scholars Program at
Washington University in St. Louis. She will be
taking two college courses and attend seminars
while she is there over a 5 week period this
summer. Congrats Autumn!
JBQ results for the March meet of the C Division are
as follows. Hannah Robinson 1st, Simone Johnson
3rd, Ainsley Johnson 8th, Reed Miller 9th and the
C Team of Hannah Robinson, Simone Johnson and

Mariah Shryock (class of 2010) was awarded the 2014 Outstanding Student in International/
Community Development award from Oral Roberts University for her hard work and dedication.
Andrew Peecher (class of 2011) received an acceptance letter that his submission on the paper
that he wrote titled “God Making His Appeal through Us”: The Theology of Reconciliation in the
Church’s Practice” was approved for presentation at NCUR 2014 at the University of Kentucky.
Cristen Seiders (class of 2012) was named to the dean’s list at Olivet Nazarene University.
Abby Schrey (class of 2013) was named to the dean’s list at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY.

Enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year has begun and we are blessed by the excitement
that we have seen. The class enrollment contest is going strong and the latest statistics have
6th grade at 76%, 4th grade at 77% and Kindergarten at 79%. If you have not received your
contract please let the Academy office know and we will get one to you.
Our Preschool and Junior Kindergarten classes are filling up. Your child may attend Preschool if
they are 3 by August 1 and Junior Kindergarten if they are 4 by August 1. If you would like to
set up an appointment to learn more about both of these classes please call the Academy.
As a reminder if you chose monthly tuition preference for this school year the last payment is
in June.

Vertical Extreme Day Camp begins June 2 with enrollment under way! If you are looking for
summer care for your child stop by the Academy Office and pick up an enrollment packet
today. Registration fee is $125. before May 23 and then will go up to $150.
