Detailed Counseling Schedule for JEE (Mains) and CMAT Qualified Candidates Counseling for JEE (Mains)-2014 and CMAT-2014 Qualified Candidates From July 17-19, 2014 July 17-19, 2014 On Line Registration and printing of All the JEE (Mains)-2014 / registration slip through website CMAT-qualified candidates http://upsee.nic.in Registration shall be closed at 11:00 AM on July 19, 2014 Document Verification and All the JEE (Mains)-2014 and submission of only as Counseling Fee qualified candidates who have in form of Bank Draft of Rs 500=00 registered online for counseling. in favor of “Finance Officer, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow” payable at city of Verification centre Venue: Any one of Document Verification/ Counseling Centers List of document verification centers are available at http://upsee.nic.in July 19-20, 2014 Online Choice Filling website http://upsee.nic.in through 1 July 23, 2014 Allotment Result website http://www.upsee.nic.in Confirmation of Seats July 23-24, 2014 Confirmation of Seats by the candidates who have been allotted a seat in this round by depositing the Confirmation Fee of Rs 15000=00 only in form of bank draft drawn in favor of “Finance Officer, UPTU, Lucknow” payable at city Branch at verification centre where candidates were verified. Venue: Verification Centre Note: 1. A candidate who is allotted a seat must submit the confirmation fee to confirm the allotted seat in the specified period. 2. The candidates are advised to get their Bank drafts ready in advance, required to be submitted as registration fee/confirmation fee at various stages, in order to avoid any inconvenience due to Bank or other holidays. Instructions to the Candidates for Counseling: The counseling procedure for JEE-Main and CMAT qualified candidates is to be completed through following sequence of major steps. Step I. Online Registration through website http://www.upsee.nic.in Step II. Document Verification at Verification Centre Step III. Choice filling from any place of convenience through website http://www.upsee.nic.in Step IV. Seat Confirmation after seat allotment result at Verification Centre These steps are explained in following section. Online Registration through website http://www.upsee.nic.in : 1. All candidates desirous to take admission for seats under JEE Main quota/CMAT quota must register online at UPSEE website http://www.upsee.nic.in and get the registration slip printed . Only those candidates who have registered would be allowed to participate in counseling. 2. Candidates who have registered online shall proceed to any document verification centre at his/her convenience along with all necessary documents in original along with one set of attested photocopy of them. For 2 a list of required necessary documents all candidates are advised to refer to the Information Brochure as well as to the details given later here in the next section. 3. A list of authorized verification centers for counseling UPSEE-2013 is available on the website http://www.upsee.nic.in . Document Verification at Verification/Counseling Centre: 4. The candidates appearing at document verification centre for documents verification must bring a Demand Draft for Rs Five Hundred (500=00) drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow” payable at the city of document verification centre. For example, if candidate is appearing for verification in Meerut, the demand draft should be in favor of “Finance Officer, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow” payable at Meerut. In the same way, all candidates must get the demand draft made accordingly. 5. Following documents would be required at the verification centre in original and one set of attested photocopy. (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) Admit Card Registration slip Mark sheet of qualifying exam High school Certificate Character certificate Certificate of Medical Fitness / Undertaking of Medical Fitness (vii) Following certificates issued by designated authority as per the format in the brochure of UPSEE-2013: (a) Domicile certificate, If applicable. (b) Category certificate such as OBC/SC/ST,if applicable (c) Subcategory certificate (Freedom fighters/Armed forces /Physically handicapped) whichever is applicable (d) Income certificate (applicable for economically weaker only), if applicable (e) GDDA category certificate, if applicable (f) Rural Weightage certificate, if applicable. The candidates must refer to the Information Brochure for exact requirement of documents as per their category/subcategory. The details of certificates 3 and the formats are also given in the Information Brochure and candidates must get the certificate on those formats. 6. The document verification of all candidates will take place at various document verification centers located across the state. A list of these verification centers is available on website http://www.upsee.nic.in. Candidate may report at any document verification centre as per his convenience on any day during the specified period for this purpose. 7. After the verification of documents, the candidate will be given a ‘One Time Password’ (OTP) that will be sent to his registered mobile phone. All candidates are required to provide his/her mobile number or the mobile phone number of his/her parents/guardian at the time of document verification. This password will be used by the candidates to fill his/her choices for seats online. 8. Normally, the candidate should get an OTP number on the mobile phone immediately. In case if the OTP number is not received even after six hours, the candidates must visit website www.upsee.nic.in and should follow the procedure to get OTP number again. 9. All candidates must ensure that they have provided a correct mobile number at verification centre for the purpose of getting OTP. Online Choice Filling through website http://www.upsee.nic.in 10. After the verification of documents, the candidate may proceed to their home and fill their choices through website (www.upsee.nic.in) at their convenience any time during the specified period. 11. THE OTP SHALL BE USED BY THE CANDIDATE TO LOGIN AT WEBSITE www.upsee.nic.in FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR ONLINE CHOICE FILLING. AFTER THE FIRST LOGIN, IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE CANDIDATE TO MODIFY ONE TIME PASSWORD. THE CANDIDATE MAY CHOOSE A NEW PASSWORD OF HIS CHOICE. THE NEW PASSWORD SET BY THE CANDIDATE WILL BE USED BY THE CANDIDATE TO LOGIN INTO HIS 4 ACCOUNT FOR CHOICE FILLING. PLEASE DO REMEMBER THE NEW PASSWORD AND KEEP IT AS A SECRET. 12. The candidates should fill their choices and may alter/modify/delete or add choices before locking them until the last date of choice filling as per his convenience. 13. Though, all candidates are expected to do choice filling online at home or other places as per their convenience, however, if a candidate finds difficulty in doing so, he/she candidates may approach any verification centre for help in choice filling during the specified period for choice filling. 14. DURING THE SPECIFIED TIME PERIOD OF CHOICE FILLING, CANDIDATES ALSO HAVE AN OPTION TO ‘SAVE’ HIS/HER CHOICES. THIS MEANS THE CHOICES ENTERED BY THE CANDIDATE WILL BE SAVED ON THE WEBSITE. THIS WILL ENABLE THE CANDIDATE TO LOGIN AGAIN AND AGAIN IN HIS ACCOUNT WITH HIS PASSWORD AND HE MAY MODIFY/ALTER HIS SAVED CHOICES. THE CANDIDATES MAY USE THE ‘SAVE’ OPTION MANY TIMES AS PER HIS CONVENIENCE. REMEMBER, ONCE THE CHOICES ARE LOCKED, NO CHANGE WOULD BE ALLOWED IN THE CHOICE FILLED. 15. It is also possible for the candidates to login again with his/her password to modify his saved choices and/or their order of preference on the website as many times as they desire before locking. 16. ONCE THE CANDIDATE IS SATISFIED THAT THE NUMBER OF CHOICES AND THEIR ORDER OF PREFERENCE HAS BEEN ENTERED CORRECTLY ON THE WEBSITE, HE SHOULD USE THE OPTION TO ‘LOCK” HIS CHOICES ONLINE. HE IS ADVISED TO KEEP A PRINTOUT OF ‘LOCKED’ CHOICES WITH HIM. 17. It should be remembered that choices once ‘LOCKED’ are final and can not be modified and altered. 18. EACH CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO ‘LOCK’ HIS/HER CHOICES BEFORE THE LAST DATE OF CHOICE FILING PERIOD. IF A CANDIDATE FORGETS TO LOCK HIS/HER CHOICE, HIS/HER CHOICES ‘SAVED’ SO FAR WILL BE 5 AUTOMATICALLY LOCKED ON THE LAST DATE OF CHOICE FILLING AND WILL BE USED FOR SEAT ALLOTMENT. 19. WHILE FILLING THE CHOICES, THE CANDIDATES ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO REFER TO CATEGORY/BRANCH AND INSTITUTE WISE OPENING AND CUTOFF RANKS OF LAST YEAR. THESE OPENING AND CLOSING COMBINED GENERAL RANKS ARE AVAILABLE AT WEBSITE WWW.UPSEE.NIC.IN. THE CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO FILL AS MANY CHOICES AS THEY CAN, KEEPING THE PREVIOUS YEAR’S TREND IN THEIR MIND. HOWEVER, IT MAY BE NOTED TRENDS IN THIS YEAR MAY NOT BE NECESSARILY SAME AS PREVIOUS YEAR. A LARGE NUMBER OF CHOICES WILL BE HELPFUL FOR CANDIDATES TO GET A SEAT IN ONE OF THE COLLEGES. 20. It is again strongly advised to the candidate to prepare a choice list in order of preference on paper before entering it online at website. For institute code and branch code, number of seats available in each branch at institutions, the candidates are advised to refer to Information Brochure. The candidate should prepare such list in thorough consultation with their parents/guardians. This will save time and will avoid confusion in entering choices online. 21. ALL CANDIDATES MUST REMEMBER THAT NO MODIFICATION, ADDITION, DELETION OR ALTERATION IN THE CHOICES IS ALLOWED AFTER THE CHOICES ARE LOCKED AND ALSO AFTER LAST DATE OF CHOICE FILLING. THEREFORE, ALL CANDIDATES MUST ENTER AS MANY CHOICES AS THEY WANT. 22. Choices entered by the candidates shall be treated as final. These choices will be used in the order of preference for seat allotment. The candidates will not be allowed to modify/alter/delete/add more choices after locking their choices or after the last date of choice filling, whichever is earlier. Seat Confirmation after Seat Allotment Result at Verification Centre 23. The results of seat allotment will be declared on a specified date given in the schedule. All candidates who have been allotted a seat must report to the 6 same document verification centre within the specified period for the confirmation of their seat. 24. Each candidate must bring a bank draft of Fifteen Thousand Rupees (Rs. 15000=00) drawn in the favour of “Finance Officer, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow” payable at the city of document verification centre for confirmation of their seat. 25. IF A CANDIDATE WHO HAS BEEN ALLOTTED A SEAT AND DOES NOT TURN UP FOR CONFIRMATION OF THE SEAT AT VERIFICATION CENTRE BEFORE THE LAST DATE OF CONFIRMATION OF SEAT, IT WILL BE ASSUMED THAT HE IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE SEAT AND THE SEAT ALLOTTED TO HIM WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY TREATED AS CANCELLED. 26. The candidates who are allotted a seat in both UPSEE-2014 and JEE(Main)/CMAT streams, can retain only one seat allotted to him. Such candidates must surrender other seat and it will be considered as vacant. Such vacant seats, therefore, shall be allotted to other candidates. 27. A candidate who is allotted a seat in both SEE-2014 and JEE(Main)/CMAT streams and does not report to the verification centre for confirmation of the allotted seats, both the seats allotted to him will be considered as vacant. 28. The allotment letter shall be made available to the candidates through official website http://www.upsee.nic.in after the declaration of the result of seat allotment. The candidates may download the allotment letter from the website and report to the allotted Institute accordingly. 7
