Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,
ILBC is very much proud to announce the results of our outstanding students who sat for GCE A2 Level
examinations, IAL-AS Level and IGCSE examinations in May/June, 2014.
Some of our IGCSE outstanding students are in Secondary 5 classes, pursuing IAL-AS Level or in the US
trend. Those with outstanding IAL AS level results are in Secondary 6. Last but not least, our GCE Advanced
Level graduate student will be joining LSE (London School of Economics) this year. If we look back at her
academic records, Anjali@ Ann Charbonnel was an Academic High Achiever Award winner (2011-2012
Academic year) when she became a Secondary 4 graduate. By the time she graduated Secondary 6 and
finished her GCE Advanced Level with 1A* & 5A Grades, she got her acceptance into LSE.
With the wonderful examination results, the Board of Education would like to give a message to our
parents that ILBC Yangon became a K-12 full-fledged school in 2013-2014 academic year together with
our previous University Foundation Program (UFP) being merged into regular Secondary 5 and 6 US trend
starting from 2013-2014 academic year, along with UK trend Advanced Level classes.

For previously announced pen and paper examinations (Semester 1 & 2) (examination dates
are normally mentioned in school calendar), arrangements are made in case a student cannot
be in an exam room due to sickness or minor accidents but is still able to come to school to sit
for the examinations. On the other hand, on practical exam days, tutorial days and PE, FA &
Music test days, once a student is considered not fit to come to school and/or not fit to sit for
tutorials/exams, (s)he will not be granted permission to sit for the above mentioned tutorials/
exams. Substitute exams/tests will not be arranged in these cases either.
At the same time, neither half day leave nor partial leave during the school day is granted
for students and it is advisable for parents not to send the kid(s) to school if there are prearranged plans or should unforeseeable circumstances arise and the kid(s) cannot attend the
school for the whole school day. That includes above mentioned tutorial/exam days. For
all kinds of personal leave, parents are advised to arrange prior discussion with respective
division heads and get permission on case by case basis, depending on the seriousness of the
circumstances. Parents/guardians of the students who are taking planned/emergency leave
more than 3 school days for any possible reasons are to fill the leave request form available
at the reception desk and get permission beforehand.
And division heads are advised to consult the principal for all leave matters concerned.
For the coming academic years, students are to attend classes in the section in accordance
with the arrangement of the school.
