‘The best example of the art of programming for the creation
and control of a real-time games sequence or demo'
I was awarded this for my Real-time Procedural Planet Generator, which I developed for my
Computing Project in my final year of universtiy. It was a multi-threaded, variable level-of-detail,

Work Experience
Oct 2013 – Sockmonkey Studios – Software Engineer
Middlesbrough
July 2014
SockMonkey Studios is a mobile game and app development studios based in Middlesbrough, UK,
working on a variety of platforms including mobile, console, handheld and Facebook.
I developed an iOS/Android mobile app called Pocket Sergeant, using Phonegap
(HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Java/Objective C). The app used a SQLite backend storing all the data, and
used JavaScript to pull the information from this database and display it in the app. Some of the
technology used included jQuery, iScroll, jQT and SQL.
June 2013 – Sockmonkey Studios – Games Programmer
Middlesbrough
July 2013
During a summer placement, I produced a prototype for a mobile game using the Unity3D engine,
working together with the designer & artist to implement & test several different gameplay iterations.

RDS Technology

Created a PC simulator for the RDS Weightlog a10, a PIC processor based device, developed
by RDS
Modified the C source code to run on windows, and added code to:
o Emulate the various pieces of hardware (Screen, touchscreen, memory, etc)
o Load a memory dump into RAM (And modified appropriate code to use this) and
export it back out.
o Used compiler pre-processors to allow it to be maintained with minimal effort
User interface production for devices compliant with the ISOBUS standard
Various software for a Windows CE based device
Skills
Large amount of experience with the Unity3D engine, having used it for a numerous projects over the
last 3 years. I’m extremely comfortable working with it, as well as managing & maintaining projects
made in it.
Experiencing managing a small team – I have lead several projects, both online and at university.
During our Advanced Games Development module at university, I lead a team of 4 programmers, and
worked closely together with the artists, animators and designers to ensure everything ran smoothly.
I split the project down into milestones, assigned tasks, performed code reviews and spent time
teaching other team members technology they were not familiar with.
