Objectives:
To encourage postgraduate and undergraduate students of the IOSH accredited
programmes to conduct and present outstanding final year projects in the field of
occupational safety and health, IOSH Hong Kong is hosting the subject Competition for
the IOSH accredited postgraduate and undergraduate studies. After the assessment of
student papers by a specially convened judging panel, the awards will be bestowed in the
presentation ceremony. A total of three students will be arranged to present their first
place award papers during the event.
Meanwhile, our branch chairman, Ir Richard Tse, together with the representatives of
oversea technical visit to Singapore will share the experience of OSH practices of the
Singapore after their technical visit from 30 Mar to 2 April, 2014. The visit included
experience sharing with The Institution of Engineers, Singapore, ASM Front End
Manufacturing Singapore Pte Ltd, Eco-Green Park, MRT Project Construction Project,
meeting with BCA Academy, Building & Construction Authority, including Safety Gallery
visit and Singapore Discovery Centre.
The event will provide a forum for the members and students to discuss and explore
health and safety research studies in Hong Kong and OSH practices in Singapore.

Any participant who is not a current IOSH member or a student/ staff
member of the supporting organisations is required to pay HK$50 to
cover the administrative fee for the CPD certificate which is to be

reasons.

CPD:
A CPD Certificate of 3 hours will be issued to each participant who
has attended the entire seminar. The participants shall collect their
own attendance certificates during registration. Upon completion of
the seminar, at 05:00 p.m. or later, the participants shall proceed to
the reception counter for receiving a stamp on the certificates. Only
certificates with the Institution’s stamp are considered as valid CPD
certificates.
Remarks:
To prevent the spreading of influenza, any participant who has
symptom(s) of flu, e.g. fever, cough and runny nose, etc, is not
recommended to attend the seminar, or he / she is advised to put on
a face mask throughout his / her stay at the seminar. Please provide

time of on-line registration for urgent notification.
