September 12 – Legal Aid Ontario: Group Information Session: Meet with a Legal Aid Advisor – Learn how to Access Legal Service;

September 17 – Getting the New CPA Accounting Designation: Presented by CPA Canada – Learn about the new designation as effort

September 18 - Centennial College - The Second Career Program Presentation: A Centennial College representative will share
information on the process of applying through Second Career at Centennial, discuss eligibility, and give tips on how to succeed as a
student.
September 19 – Ontario March of Dimes Group Session: Group orientation and sign-up with OMD to receive various services and get
ongoing case management and job development.
September 22 – Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Group Orientation: An ODSP Representative will be in to do group
information session.
September 24 – Let’s make it Work Employment for Youth with Disabilities: Presented by Corbrook – Get support finding employment
using employment partnership programs
September 30 - How to Manage on a Low Income: Presented by JVS – Learn how to budget and live well on a low income

September 3&15 - Resume Reviews & Job Coaching: Meet one-on-one with an expert to have your resume reviewed for
improvements. Bring your resume and a job description for a position you are interested in pursuing.
September 8&26 - Resume and Cover Letters Workshop: Attend a workshop with an instructor who will guide you through creating a
resume and cover letter.
September 10 – Interview Skills and Practice Workshop: Here is your opportunity to practice your interview skills in a safe
environment. We will provide you with constructive feedback to help you improve your skills.
September 12 – Social Networking as a Job Search Strategy: Learn how to use social media to network and help in your online job
search.
COMPUTER SKILLS WORKSHOPS
3&4, 17&18- MS Word for Your Job Search (Parts 1-4): Learn to create documents, like resumes and covering letters.
September 8&9, 23&24- Using MS Excel to Organize Your Job Search (Parts 1-4): * Must have basic computer skills using MS Word*
Learn how to create and use spreadsheets as a tool to stay organized.
September 29 - Creating a PowerPoint Presentation: * Must have basic computer skills using MS Word. This introductory tutorial will
review the basics of creating a presentation in preparation for a job interview.
September 29 - Introduction to Outlook: * Must have basic computer skills using MS Word. This workshop demonstrates Outlook to
help manage your time and keep organized with calendars, contacts and email.
