Project title: Stereoselective synthesis of bicyclic γ-Lactones and its application in total synthesis of hagens gland lactone, trans-Kumausyne and Kumausallene Principle Investigator: Raju Chowhan Project duration: 2 Years Funding agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Fellowship: Project Assistant Rs. 12,000 per month (Consolidated) JRF Rs. 14,000 per month (Consolidated) Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum of 55% marks for general category (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) Desired: Experience in Organic synthesis. Note: The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year. Appointment may be extended depending on the work performance in the laboratory and/or till his/her services are required by the project head or till the validity of the project, or whichever is earliest. The Project Assistant/JRF should do work full time in the project.
