THE ART OF
CONDUCTING – KEVIN FIELD
• Just what do all those gestures mean?
• Is there a need for a conductor?
• Why is the orchestra not looking?
• What makes for a good conductor?
• Can I have a go?
...and other questions that have been asked of Kevin Field during
his 15 years as Associate Conductor with the MPO.
Join this frank discussion on conducting and perhaps dispel the
mysteries and rumours that go with this, the quietest (mostly!) of
all positions in the orchestra and yes you may get to have a go too!
