Anita Jensen has served as Vice President, Executive and Organizational Development for CHE Trinity Health since the
organization’s inception in May 2013. Her key areas of focus include the functional areas of talent stewardship and
culture, change and engagement. In this role she is responsible for C-Suite Level succession planning; executive
assessment, coaching, and development for the top 500 executives across the Ministry.
Prior to that, she was with Catholic Health East beginning in 2007, where she was responsible for the C-suite level
Succession Planning at the corporate and regional healthcare corporation levels. This includes responsibility for the
annual system-wide talent review process; development, design and ongoing delivery of the CHE Ministry Leadership
Academy - a succession planning support structure in partnership with Seton Hall University. Additional responsibilities
include executive coaching, physician and nursing executive leadership development, and support for large-scale
organizational change initiatives. Prior to 2010, she developed and implemented a comprehensive approach for leadership
development at CHE and regional health corporation/joint operating agreement (RHC/JOA) levels that leveraged
leadership initiatives within the RHCs/JOAs themselves and was fully integrated with mission formation and board
governance. This included competency based assessments, selection and development of top and emerging talent, design
and planning of CHE’s governance and management leadership conferences, identification of best practice leadership &
organizational development resources, and executive orientation.
Before joining CHE, Anita served as first vice president, head of executive leadership and development at Merrill Lynch,
where she designed, developed and managed the first firm-wide talent management process for key executives, and
developed the Leadership 360 process and leadership education and development for the firm’s top 1400 senior
executives. Prior to that, she held similar positions at JPMorgan Chase, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Citigroup.
Anita holds a Ph.D. in human and organizational systems, from Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California. In
addition, she holds graduate degrees in organizational development and social work and an undergraduate degree in
psychology.
Anita served on the Silvery Bay Board from 2004 to 2009 and chaired the CEO Search committee in 2009. She
currently resides in upper bucks county PA with her two school aged children, dog and three cats. She loves cooking,
good wine, reading and skiing.
