Yokohama Day is organized by the City of Yokohama, and will provide participants from both inside and
outside of Japan with information on international technical cooperation projects being pursued via
public‐private partnerships, and on cutting edge technologies of the Yokohama‐based exhibitors.
Environmentally aware and futuristic Yokohama City faced many difficulties and challenges due to its rapid urban development over years of high
economic growth. Through the process of overcoming these challenges, the City of Yokohama accumulated various infrastructure expertise for
sustainable low‐carbon societies such as drinking water, sewerage, waste processing, transportation systems, urban development and energy
management systems. Now, with this expertise, the City of Yokohama is promoting international technical cooperation projects that contribute to
sustainable growth for emerging Asian economies. At Yokohama Day, we will introduce best practice activities under way in Yokohama, along with
the technologies and expertise of provider corporations. Yokohama Day will also feature business matching opportunities in association with
international organizations.
