Media release New GM takes reins at Mobius Underwriting Australasia Experienced insurance industry practitioner Stuart Warden has been promoted to General Manager at Mobius Underwriting Australasia. Mobius is a specialised agency within the SLE Holdings group of companies. SLE Group Managing Director Brad French said he was delighted Mr Warden had moved into a more senior role at Mobius after spending nine months as the agency’s Senior Property Underwriter. Before that, he was with FM Global for 12 years as a risk engineer and account manager. Mr French said: “Stuart’s technical expertise as a chemical engineer, coupled with his management and underwriting skills, and senior-level relationships in the distribution market mean he is ideally placed to help take Mobius forward as the agency continues to grow since its 2010 inception.” Mobius has expanded its product range from property, general liability, management liability and cyber risks to include residential strata, which was launched in June. It anticipates commercial strata joining the portfolio in 1Q 2015. Mr Warden said Mobius was actively seeking experienced industry personnel to help drive its expansion. Ben Small, previously with FM Global for more than eight years, joins Mobius soon as an underwriting technical specialist. SLE Holdings wholly owns SLE Worldwide, Pacific Underwriting and Mobius. The group is one of Australia’s largest Lloyd’s coverholders. Mobius’s former General Manager Tim Higgins has left to pursue other options.
