In his new role, Von will be responsible for the overall operations, strategic positioning, sales and marketing of the all-villa five-star resort along the coast of Nongsa, Batam, Indonesia. Starting his hospitality career at the Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich, Switzerland, Von has more than 14 years of experience in hotel operations. Prior to his new role, he was General Manager of Singapore’s premier yacht charter company Aqua Voyage, the nautical arm of KOP Hospitality. Von joined KOP from Pangkor Laut Resort where he was Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms Division and was instrumental in winning several awards for the resort. He also held other leadership roles in prestigious hotels including Dusit Residence Dubai Marina and The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Von holds a Post Graduate Diploma in International Hospitality Management from from the International College of Hospitality Administration, “Cesar Ritz”, Brig, Switzerland; and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the National Taiwan University.
