 Weseebeauty,purposeandevidenceofdesignallaroundus.TheBibletellsusthat
Godoriginallyplannedaworldthatworkedperfectly,whereeverythingandeveryone
fittogetherinharmony.Godmadeeachofuswithapurpose,toworshipandwalk
withHim
 Verses:

Sin
 Lifedoesn’tworkwhenweignoreGodandHisoriginaldesignforourlives.We
selfishlyinsistondoingthingsourownway.TheBiblecallsthissin.Weallsinand
distorttheoriginaldesign.TheconsequenceofsinisseparationfromGod,inthislife
andforalleternity.

Brokenness
 Sinleadstoaplaceofbrokenness.Weseethisallaroundusandinourownlivesas
well.Whenwerealizelifeisnotworking,webegintolookforawayout.Wetendto
goinmanydirectionstryingdifferentthingstofigureitoutonourown.Brokenness
leadstoaplaceofrealizinganeedforsomethinggreater.

Gospel
 Atthispointweneedaremedy,somegoodnews.BecauseofHislove,Goddidnotleave
usinourbrokenness.Jesus,Godinhumanflesh,cametousandlivedperfectly
accordingtoGod’sdesign.Jesuscametorescueus,todoforuswhatwecouldnotdo
forourselves.Hetookoursintothecross,payingthepenaltyofoursinbyhisdeath.
Jesuswasthenraisedfromthedeadtoprovidetheonlywayforustoberescuedand
restoredtoarelationshipwithGod.

Repent&Believe
 SimplyhearingthisGoodNewsisnotenough.Wemustadmitoursinfulbrokenness
andstoptrustinginourselves.Wedon’thavethepowertoescapethisbrokennesson
ourown;weneedtoberescued.Inthis,wemustaskGodtoforgiveus,turningfrom
sintotrustonlyinJesus.Thisiswhatitmeanstorepentandbelieve.Believing,we
receivenewlifethroughJesusandGodturnsourlivesinanewdirection.

o “Foryouaresavedbygracethroughfaith,andthisisnotfromyourself;itis
God’sgift,notfromworks,sothatnoonecanboast”‐Ephesians2:8‐9
o “Ifyouconfesswithyourmouth,‘JesusisLord’,andbelieveinyourheartthat

Recover&Pursue
 WhenGodrestoresourrelationshiptohim,webegintodiscovermeaningandpurpose
inabrokenworld.NowwecanpursueGod’sDesigninallareasofourlives.Even
whenwefail,weunderstandGod’spathwaytoberestored,thissameGoodNewsof
Jesus.God’sSpiritempowersustopursueHisDesignandassuresusofHispresencein
thelifeandforalleternity.
