2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God
may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Do all the good you can
By all the means you can
In all the ways you can
In all the places you can
At all the times you can
As long as ever you can!

2 Samuel 12:9
“Wherefore hast
thou despised
the
commandment
of the Lord, to do
evil in his sight?
Thou hast killed
Uriah the Hittite
with the sword,
and hast taken
his wife to be thy
wife, and hast
slain him with
the sword of the
children of
Ammon”
Nathan – A Message of Sin………
Meaning: Nathan very specifically revealed David’s sin
of killing Uriah and taking his wife to be his own. In the verses
following our text, Nathan reveals God’s punishment for
David’s sin. David’s life was spared because of his response to
God’s correction: “I have sinned against the Lord” (II Samuel
12:13)
Application: God’s messengers in scripture were used to
reveal to people their sin. John the Baptist revealed to Herod
his sin of adultery (Luke 3:19). Elijah revealed to Ahab his sin
of murder (1 Kings 21:17-29). When God uses His man to
reveal sin in our lives, our response can determine how severe
the punishment will be. We should remember God chastens
those whom He loves, and the messenger is only His
mouthpiece.
Psalms 38:18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry
for my sin.
Psalms 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Proverbs 14:9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
“When regard for truth has been broken down or even slightly weakened, all things will
remain doubtful.”
The devil is an artist – he paints sin in very attractive colors
