Information on Sports and Activities that Students can join in and around Chiang Mai I (Mr. Lee) feel that it’s very important for all students to lead a healthy and full lifestyle. During the P.E class and within the school teams we try to give NIS students as much exposure to as many different sports and activities as possible, but for students who want to join sports clubs outside of school what are their options? I have compiled an information sheet that shows sports clubs, activities and places where sports can be enjoyed throughout the Chiang Mai area. Hopefully this information will inspire you to send your children to take part in sports/activities outside of school as well as in school. Firstly I will list places where students can go to play sports and the clubs that can be joined. I have included as many telephone numbers/days/times as possible. Some of these times, telephone numbers may be out of date, it’s probably better in most cases to go and ask about, times, dates and prices. 700 Year Stadium, Canal Road (Around 2km before Huay Tung Tao lake), Tel. 053-112299 The 700 Year stadium is probably the biggest sports complex in Chiang Mai, it has a range of sports activities that can be participated during the evenings and at the weekend.
