SILICON VALLEY’S PREMIER PHILANTHROPY EVENT.
In an effort to continue the transformative work of the San Francisco 49ers Academy, a charitable gala will be hosted
to honor and recognize the school’s impact on educational opportunities of underprivileged youth. Hosted at the
enchanting Atherton Estate of Jillian Manus, the 49ers Academy Gala will be a feast for the eyes, featuring
interactive entertainment, gourmet cuisine, exotic cocktails, fine wine, and a rocking band. The evening will provide
an opportunity for guests to support and celebrate the 49ers Academy and to gain insight into the evolution of their
efforts as they look to provide sustenance for the next generation of students.
ABOUT THE ACADEMY
The San Francisco 49ers Academy serves middle school students from East Palo Alto and is designed to keep kids safe, on track and in school.
As the local affiliate of Communities In Schools, Inc., the nation’s leading community-based dropout prevention organization, the 49ers Academy surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Students at the Academy face
a variety of hardships and challenges both inside and outside the classroom. By working as a team, the 49ers Academy strategically delivers
needed resources to the students who need them the most. The result: teachers are free to teach, and students - many in jeopardy of dropping
out - finally have the opportunity to focus on learning. A talented, caring staff establishes high expectations in the belief that every student can
and will achieve academic success...and they do!

ABOUT THE HOST
Jillian Manus is president of Manus Media Agency; managing partner of Structure Capital VC, and founding partner of Broad Strategy, LLC. Her
media company provides 360° platform building, branding, communications and growth strategy for clients including business leaders, politicians, professional athletes, celebrity musicians, actors and chefs. Her clients include Carlos Santana, General Attorney Kamala Harris, Howard
Buffett, Graham Nash, Meg Whitman, Russell Simmons, Surgeon General Richard Carmona, Dr. Louann Brizendine, Michael Mina, and Jerry
Rice.
She serves as a member on numerous national and community boards including: Box. org, Trustees for New York University, Dean’s Council
for the Tisch School of the Arts, The Shriver Report Advisory Board, Communities in Schools, College Track, Internews, Center for Investigative
Reporting, InnVision Shelter Network, and served for seven years as Chair for the largest women’s conference in the world, The Women’s Conference, under the leadership of Maria Shriver.
Ms Manus is an active and engaged philanthropist. The mission of the Manus Family Foundation is to create paths of safety and self sufficiency
for women and children. Education and health are THE primary areas of investment. Her Mantra: Pass it Forward!
