Dear Customers, March 2014 Intralipid® in new product packaging We are delighted to inform you of an improvement to our Intralipid® packaging material. Intralipid® is currently available in non-PVC Excel bags. However, all future production of Intralipid® for Canada will use a biocompatible packaging material called Biofine®. Biofine® bags are PVC, DEHP, latex free and environmentally-friendly with selfsealing ports to minimize leaking or spills if the administration set is removed. Biofine® is the same material used in SMOFlipid bags. While bag sizes and pricing remain the same, product codes will change. This transition will occur in stages, as we deplete the existing stock of Intralipid® in Excel bags. The new codes for ordering from McKesson Distribution Partners (MDP) are provided below.
