FPInnovations presents
Mountain Pine Beetle
Entering Alberta Mills
Seminar
November 5, 2014 - Whitecourt
A one-day workshop for
leaders in the industry
Overview
The mountain pine beetle (MPB) knows no boundaries,
spreading its path of destruction into Alberta’s forests
after attacking British Columbia, and killing over an
estimated 675 million cubic metres of lodgepole pine.
Now, as the beetle creeps into Alberta, disrupting
communities relying on the forests, the industry,
government and public will need to know how to most
efficiently battle the destructive insect’s spread. Is your
community, sawmill, pulpmill or woodlands prepared?
FPInnovations is hosting a seminar to give an overview
of how to be proactive and be prepared to battle the
onslaught of the minuscule but destructive bug.
