With ART (Alloy Replacement Technology) Satisloh offers an environmentally
safe alternative to the traditional alloy
ophthalmic blocking process - based on
proven Nucleo™ technology enabling
OBM™ (On-Block Manufacturing).
ART utilizes a universal, reusable organic
block-piece and a UV-curable adhesive,
rather than tape, protects the lens front.
Using this organic material combination
eliminates hazardous substances like
heavy metals and their discharge into the
water cycle, helping protect both the environment and staff.
To implement ART technology, only a
blocker and a deblocker are needed because the block-piece ﬁts all common
generators and polishers.
