Check out how to Revive A Rod at manleyrods.com Determine the rod blank desired before ordering the Adjust-A-Butt System. The System can be installed inside or over the butt of the blank; either way is just as strong. The Adjust-A-Butt System should fit allowing enough room for a good glue joint. As the rod blank tapers, filler will be needed. NOTE: Getting a close fit means less filler & more sensitivity. 2| DETERMINE SIZE ADJUST-‐A-‐BUTT NEEDED See the Size Chart for the ID (Inside Diameter) & OD (Outside Diameter) of each Adjust-A-Butt rod blank receiver (Size A, B & C). If installing over the rod blank, make sure the ID of the receiver is larger than the butt of the rod blank. If installing inside the rod blank, make sure the OD of the receiver is smaller than the ID of the rod blank. ID (of same color) Designed for Freshwater heavy rods or less (not designed for flipping sticks). Works best in medium heavy or less & 7’11” or less with extension rod fully extended. A Freshwater rod (lighter weight than Inshore) can be used for Inshore fishing. Normally an Inshore medium rod is equal to or heavier than a heavy Freshwater rod. 3| DETERMINE FINISHED ROD LENGTH Determine the finished rod length with the butt extended to shortest length. NOTE: Length may be cut (only from the butt secsion) to achieve the desired finished rod length. It is not recommended to cut more than 3” to 4” from the butt section. REMEMBER, the Adjust-A-Butt System is 1-¼” long from where the butt of the blank meets the Lock Nut section. IMPORTANT: The diameter of the rod blank butt section will decrease when cut. This should be considered when ordering components. Use filler when needed. - Rod Blank Sleeve - Lock Nut - 7" Extension Rod - Winding Check (optional) OD Size Inches Millimeters Inches Millimeters One Size 0.465 11.85 0.545 0.312 13.85 8 Extension Rod Diameter colors to create unique custom designs!
