SUB:- 4th GUN FOR GLORY SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP AT PUNE from 15th to 21st
JANUARY 2015
Dear Sir,
1. It has been decided to hold 4th Gun for Glory Shooting Championship from 15th to 21st
January 2015 at Balewadi Shooting Ranges, Pune. This competition will be conducted by
Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation, Pune with a view to promote Shooting
Sports in the country including conduct of competition for the Spectators & Shooting
Enthusiast.
2. Program of shooting is attached at Annexure – “1”
3. Shooters from your State/Units are invited for participation in the above competition. The
terms & conditions for the competition will be as under:a. Shooters who have achieved qualifying score as per rule 17.6 of NRAI Match Book
are only allowed to participate in ISSF rule matches. Shooters who have achieved
scores as per rule 1.4 of NRAI Match Book will be allowed to participate in NR
Matches. List of Matches is attached at Annexure – “2”.
b. The team events will be conducted in ISSF events only. Teams can be formed by the
shooters of the same State/Unit only. Final entry of three members of the team must
be submitted latest by 17.00 hours on the previous day of the start of the match. Only
one team per State/Unit will be allowed in each event.
c. The entries will be accepted through respective affiliated State Rifle
Association/Units only. The entry fee should be remitted by Cash/Money Order or by
Bank Draft in favor of THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA. Kindly
note that cheques will not be accepted. The entry forms duly completed along with
entry fee should be sent to this office soas to reach this office before 5th January
2015.Late entries with three time’s normal entry fee will be accepted up to 8th January
2015.
d. The Shooter’s name as per Shooter ID Card and Shooter ID number must be entered
in the entry form and a copy of SHOOTER ID CARD SHOULD BE ATTACHED
WITH THE ENTRY FORM.In case, shooter still does not have the ID number, it
must be applied immediately and shooter’s date of birth should be entered in the entry
form along with a copy of date of birth to be attached with the entry form.
e. A shooter below age of 21/18 years as on the 31.12.2015 will be treated as Junior or
Youth, as the case may be.
f. Shooters who achieve MQS in air weapon events as per rule 17.6 of NRAI Match
Book will be allowed to participate in 59th NSCC.
g. Shooters taking part in Rifle event are not allowed to take part in Pistol event or vice
versa.
h. Finals will be conducted in all Olympic events.
i. Individual and Team medals will be awarded.
j. To promote the shooting sports, it has been decided to conduct a competition for
spectators & shooting Enthusiast/FANS. Any shooter participating in this
Championship (NR or ISSF Match) is not allowed to take part in this category. Free
entries for the Championship will be given to students in the age group of 11-14 years
in order to promote the sport to a higher extent. All school Students above the age of
14 yrs can participate in the Open Category. Fee for the same is Rs 300 per entry.
k. Among all the participants, the best 3 scorers all throughout the Championship will
get a full 3 year Scholarship Training Program in the academy, free of cost, with
expert coaches all round the globe. Apart from that, the relevant top 50 candidates
will get selected for Level-1 program. Out of them, best 20 candidates will get
selected for Level-2 program and then, 6 best candidates will be shortlisted for the
Level 3 program for a time span of 2 years.
l. A first of its kind competition will be conducted for the corporates. They will be
provided with Walther Rifles and Eley Ammunition to shoot with. Minimum age
criteria for this is 18 years and above.
m. Protest fee is Rs. 200/- and in case an appeal is filed with the Jury of Appeal, then the
fee is Rs. 500/-. The fee will be returned if the protest is upheld and retained by NRAI
if the protest is lost.
n. The competition will be conducted according to ISSF rules and regulations.
o. No arms will be provided to the competitors by NRAI

The matches will start at 8.30 AM on every day
Details for the various matches will be put up on the notice board one day before the start
of the competition.
Timings of the Finals and Challenger Cup will be announced at the range before 17th
January 2015.
