GENERAL EAM ENHANCEMENTS
GENERAL EAM ENHANCEMENTS
1.
Equipment Object Navigator – Provide a navigator specifically designed for
managing Equipment Objects – “Equipment 360” (alternative to the
business object explorer)
2.
Equipment Structuring – Make it possibility to manage Equipment in
several structures like Location, pipe, circuit etc.
3.
Move Functional Object – Enable move/restructure of Functional
Equipment Objects in the functional structure.
4.
Structured Failure Management – Structured approach to fault reporting,
fault analysis, identification of corrective/preventive actions and input to
modifications and rebuilds.
5.
PM Enhancements – Optional Revision Control, Condition Forecasts in
Maintenance Plan
6.
Meter Reading Management – Enhancements to support meter readings
and exceptions (eg. roll-overs, meter changes, incorrect readings, etc.)

LESS BUT RIGHT MAINTENANCE
FAILURE PATTERNS
The Bathtub Curve—High infant mortality, then a low level of random failure
followed by a definable wear-out zone.
“The Traditional View—A low level of random failure, then a definable wearout zone.
A steady increase in the probability of failure settling down to random failure.
A sharp increase in the probability of failure settling down to random failure.
Random Failure—No relationship at all between age and probability of
failure.
The Reversed J Curve—High infant mortality, then random failure.
