New CEO’s named for Pacific Media Network
Pacific Media Network announces the appointments of Joint Chief Executive Officers; Veteran Broadcaster
Mr Tony Amos and Business Growth Strategist; Mr Letoa Henry Jenkins.
In an extensive broadcasting career spanning more than forty years; starting by completing announcer
training in 1972 through to days as an announcer and programmer at Radio Hauraki, to lobbying the
government and successfully introducing FM broadcasting to New Zealand in the early 1980’s to most
recently as radio and television talkback host and commentator, Amos says “I’m delighted and excited to
be part of the future of Pacific Media Network and all it’s remarkable endeavours.”
Jenkins, a Chartered Accountant by profession and University of Auckland, MBA graduate, brings a wealth
of business experience in senior roles in the industries of Finance, ICT and FMCG markets here in New
Zealand and the Asia Pacific Region. “I’m looking forward to working for a unique and ambitious network
that strives for the betterment of Pacific Peoples” says Jenkins.
While broadcasting remains a core media service of Pacific Media Network, added to the mix are other
platforms including events, digital and social media to cater for a diverse Pacific audience living
throughout New Zealand. Amos says “Pacific Media Network plays a unique and significant role in Pacific
communities keeping all connected and informed. Technological advancements in electronic media has
and will always change the way we communicate.”
Chairman of the National Pacific Radio Trust Board which governs Pacific Media Network, Mr
Uluomato’otua Aiono ONZM says the five month recruitment process involving the Board and key
stakeholders has found two unique talents who combined make a world class, trail-blazing appointment. “I
am looking forward to Pacific Media Network becoming the All Blacks of New Zealand media.”
Today is officially the first day at the helm for Amos and Jenkins.
