The NLC is the primary forum for the ABA to advance the Association’s advocacy agenda on
behalf of hospitals with burn centers, burn surgeons and the patients they serve to the nation’s key elected and appointed officials. A primary objective of the NLC is for burn center
leaders, surgeons, nurses, hospital administrators and others to address challenges in a collaborative and unified fashion in the policy, legislative and regulatory arenas.
The NLC is a premier event for the ABA Institutional Advisory Council. The IAC
provides burn center hospitals a prominent role within the ABA and strengthens their voice
on reimbursement and related government and private-sector policies. Members of the IAC
receive two complimentary registrations to the conference. Attached is a preliminary agenda.
Again, on behalf of the ABA Board of Trustees and the IAC, we hope you will attend the 2014
National Leadership Conference. Your involvement in the ABA’s legislative, regulatory and
related initiatives is essential to their success.
Sincerely,
Palmer Q. Bessey, MD, FACS
