Configuring the SvSAN Neutral Storage Host appliance
This document is intended for SvSAN administrators wishing to deploy a Linux Neutral
Storage Host appliance that provides third party arbitration of SvSAN mirrors. Third party
arbitration of mirrors is discussed in detail in the SvSAN Deployment Guide and the SvSAN
VSA manual.

Requirements
This NSH appliance, provided by StorMagic, is supported on VMware vSphere 5.x
Additional Information
The default credentials for the appliance are:
username: nsh_root
password:stormagic
The default appliance NetBIOS name is "SVSAN-NSH"
Installation
1. Start the "Deploy OVF Template" wizard from the vSphere client selecting the appliance OVF file:
2. Accept the license agreement and name the appliance:
3. Select the ESXi host that will run the appliance:
4. Select a datastore on which the appliance files will be stored:
5. Configure the appliance networking:

6. Select Finish to complete the deployment

8. Power on Virtual Appliance
9. During the first boot process the appliance will trigger a network configuration wizard. Select the appliance console
screen to configure the network settings:

10. With the appliance networking configured browse to the hostname or IP address on port 443 and logon:
