JOB DESCRIPTION Mechanical Engineer piping specialist The candidate will report directly to the individual project managers (several projects). The candidate will participate with other disciplines in the preparation of levels of engineering studies including scoping studies, preliminary economic assessments (PEA), pre-feasibility studies; feasibility studies and detail engineering. Work will be based in Brossard and occasionally will require travel. During the construction period, travel to and from the site will be necessary when required. Job Description:        Supervise external consultants with respect to piping related to industrial and mining projects. Perform piping designs, sizing, specifications and layouts, as well as pump sizing and specifications. Participate in Piping & Instrumentation (P & ID) designs. Prepare material take-off quantities and estimates. Prepare labour related cost estimates. Participate in technical and commercial tender evaluations. Overview vendor drawings. Requirements:      Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Member of the OIQ. Minimum of 5 years experience. Written and spoken French and English. Experienced and at ease with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access as well as AutoCAD tools, estimation tools, pumping and piping design tools. Assets:   Work experience on international mining projects. Working knowledge of Spanish.
