OKD Institute of Social Change and Development VIP Road, Upper Hengrabari, Guwahati – 781 036 The National Research Programme on Plantation Development at CDS, Trivandrum and OKD Institute are organizing a 2-days training program for the postgraduate students, research scholars and young teachers on Research Issues and Methods in India’s Plantation sector. The programme will be held during 17-18 November at OKD Institute, Guwahati. The objective is to expose the students/researchers to different research issues in plantation/commercial agriculture and the research methods to explore issues identified. The draft programme of the training is attached. The National Research Programme on Plantation Development (NRPPD) in CDS instituted by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, undertakes policy oriented research on all aspects of plantation sector in India. The Programme also has the mandate of capacity building through training inter alia with a view to attract scholars to issues pertaining to plantation sector.
