Scientific Sessions: The scientific proceedings started with key note address: “Emerging
nanoscience and technology for nano medicine : Nanobiosensors and nano carriers for
diagnosis and therapy” by Prof. Ratneshwar Lal. It was followed by as many as 12 invited
talks by distinguished scientists from India and abroad. In addition, there was a special
session called 'Technology Showcase' in which Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corporation, Japan
focused on their core technologies, capabilities and products.
Funding: Funding was through registration fee and sponsorships.

Special Sessions: There was a special session on Technology showcase where the
Asahi Kasei Chemical Corporation, Japan focused on their core technologies,
capabilities and products.
Poster Presentations: Young scientists and academic researchers from all over the
country presented around 123 posters reflecting high caliber of research in India. The
poster provided a platform to share information and discuss topics of interest, thus
formed a forum to exchange ideas and collaborate within different areas of drug
delivery.

PROMOTION OF CRS ACTIVITIES/MEMBERSHIP
This has been highlighted on the website .
ACTIVITIES FOR 2014-15
1.One day symposium on “Current Trends in Nano Drug Delivery’ on 26th July 2014 with eminent
speakers in the area .
2.Two CRSIC student members provided with full tavel grant to attend the 46th CRS symposium
at Chicago USA.
2.One day symposium planned uner the CRSIC banner in Oct 2014.
3.14TH International Symposium on “Advances in Technology and Business Potential of New
Drug
Delivery Systems” planned in Feb 2015.
We plan to make all events a success by targeting focused audience and inviting excellent
faculty for deliberations for all symposiums held under CRSIC banner. This strategy has been
successful in the past too.
