ACE of the Month! ! Betzabeth Sierra is a military spouse and mother of three beautiful children here in Aviano. This is her 3rd duty station and has lived overseas for 6 years. She is the Mission Statement We are dedicated to supporting Outreach/Philanthropic chair on the ACES board which overlooks BCAW, Spouse it up, OYR, Airman Cookie drive. She is currently heading the Hospitality Committee for the Primavera Bazaar. Thank you for all the hard work! spouses with an outlet to interact, help, communicate, and grow with each other; while also providing volunteerism and charitable services to enhance the community here at Aviano AB. This trip is 10 euro per member. This is a member only trip so make sure to sign yourself up as a member so you can attend! *See FB event for more details. Americans Working Around the Globe-‐‑ Our ACES board is generously donating a scholarship to one individual interested in attending this amazing program in Edelweiss, Germany from May 4th to the 8th. *Please contact Jen Walter for more info on the scholarship. Briana Olsen: April 4th Veronica De Hoyos: April 27th Outreach -‐‑The Primavera Bazaar Hospitality Committee is looking for volunteers to help plan the spring bazaar for May 30th, 31st, and June 1st. Betzabeth Sierra is the point of contact for the committee and will hold meetings on April 15th and April 29th. Please contact her through the FB committee page for time/place. Positions Needed The ACES board needs volunteers in order to operate within the Aviano community and as a team. We are looking for a Membership Chair who can be present at socials and meetings to keep track of members and dues. There is also a position open in the Cooking Club as a coordinator of events and the club itself. As I sit here and wonder, where in the world is the newsletter? I'm reminded by Tresca our Newsletter gal that I haven't given her my letter
yet…. oops!! Here it is ya'll. We have been a busy bunch of ladies. I'm sure you heard (if you weren't already there) that the Annual Breast
Cancer Awareness Walk was a huge success. BB Sierra and her team did such an amazing job over the last 5 or so months. Event planning
is such a skill that I admire. . And before that we finished our last OYR with a bang, ACES has been apart of OYR since I’ve been here
(3yrs) and it's sad to see the program go. A huge shout out to Christy Lister (our hospitality chair) for all your hard work as the OYR
Director!
I am sure you've heard, we have a new and improved way of tracking volunteer hours. Tracking your hours not only supports you but all of
us here at Aviano. It helps our Wing reflect to MAJCOM leadership how our base depends on our volunteers. If you get a chance please
register it's really super easy to do at www.volunteer.31fss.com.
Last but not least our board year will be coming to an end 30 May, Voting of the new board will take place at our next social!! We have a
great line up of nominees and whichever way the votes go I know and look forward to another fantastic year!
