CULTURE FESTIVAL (PIIACUF 2014)
It is a little known fact that the Golden Age of Islam had contributed much to
the modern establishment of science, medicine, astrology, algebra and many
other sectors. The Putrajaya International Islamic Arts & Culture
Festival is the ideal platform to share the rich history of Islam; not just to
Muslims but to the masses; sharing a wealth of information that is interesting
and best portrays the Islam’s diverse range of Islamic oriented innovation and
progress?
From 30 October to 2 November 2014 at Dataran Putrajaya, the Putrajaya
International Islamic Arts and Cultural Festival (PIIACUF 2014) will live up to
its vision of being the purveyor of the values of Islam through the perspective
of a moderate society where arts and culture takes centre stage in delivering
the messages of Islam to the world.
Islam as a way of life had its fair share in shaping the world through the ages.
From the best of philosophers, thinkers, artists and leaders, PIIACUF 2014
will exhibit some of the finest works of Islam through the organising of
exhibitions, seminars, symposiums, music and arts.

PIACUF 2014 is themed to specifically take its visitors through a journey of
enlightening Islamic arts and cultural factors with a primary focus on the
Wonders of the Islamic World. The appreciation towards past achievements
and success of the Muslim legacy then will surely open a new Pandora of
thoughts for the future of Islam and Muslims in a modern world.
PIIACUF 2014 is organised mainly by Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPJ). Its main
objectives and functions include promoting, stimulating, facilitating and
undertaking commercial, infrastructure and residential development in the
area, as well as to manage the economic and social development in order to
make the best out of the many upcoming programmes. Apart from that, PPJ is
focused on the control and coordination of the performances and activities.
The event promises the best of Islamic arts and culture under one roof and
surely it will be an event not to be missed. So join this wonderful journey of
appreciation at the Putrajaya International Islamic Arts & Cultural Festival
2014.
Programme Highlights

PIIACUF 2014 has in store a line-up of productive and interesting
activities that will have you wanting more. Visitors will be able to
immerse themselves in the numerous published works from many
different Islamic writers and authors at the Malaysia International
Islamic Book Expo 2014. Additionally, there will be a Selawat with
Habib Syech Assegaf as one of the main highlights at the event.

There will also be a number of different forums taking place at PIIACUF
2014, including the International Islamic Forum (IIF) Putrajaya 2014
and Architecture Forum.

Probably one of the more popular highlights of the programme would
be the highly inspirational Journey of Nur Concert 2.0, as visitors get to
enjoy an array of exquisite performances in a new and improved
edition of the well-renowned concert.

Exhibitions within the event include the primary focus of the show,
Wonders of the Islamic World. Following that, many other intriguing
exhibitions are in store for the entire programme. These include the AlAqsa Exhibition, Keris and Souq (Souq/Jualan).
PIIACUF 2014 is an eye-opener for both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. So
keep an eye out for the many exciting developments that will be on display in
this year’s events.
