SwannView Plus for Windows

Want to view your cameras from your PC?
The SwannView Plus software that we have included on the CD in the pack allows you to access
and control your DVR from the comfort of your computer. Best of all, it only takes minutes to get
it all up and running!

Take the CD from its sleeve and place it in the CD drive of your PC or

Configuring SwannView Plus
Click ‘Install’, allow desktop creation of the shortcut, click ‘Next’.

SwannView Plus will now contact your DVR to check the
connection, this might take a few seconds. Once the DVR is
connected you will see the Serial No. is added to the screen as
shown on the left, if you don’t see the serial number appear,

View your cameras

To view your cameras, click on the name of the DVR and
drag that into the liveview window.
To view your DVR and
cameras, double click on the
‘Main View’ icon to see the
screen in the next panel. Next
time you start SwannView
you will start here, you can
just double click on the ‘Main
View’ icon to start watching
your DVR and cameras.
Note: Click Help>User
Manual to learn more about
how to use the many features
of SwannView Plus (you will
need Acrobat Reader to read
the manual).

Tap the + to add a new device.
Tap the blue QR code icon to
open the scanning page and
hold your camera just over the
sticker to ‘Scan’ the QR code
from the sticker on the top of
your DVR.
The following guide and screens are for the Phone version of SwannView Plus. If you have a Tablet you
should use SwannView Plus HD so jump to section 3 for your guide.
Swannlink Peer to Peer technology lets you connect your cameras in seconds from your tablet
or smartphone.
Although the screenshots used on this page are from the iOS version of SwannView Plus, the screens,
functions and buttons are identical for the Android version.
1. Head to the respective Apple iTunes App Store
or Google Play store
2. Search for SwannView Plus and tap to
download or install the app.
SwannView Plus lets you connect to your DVR
using your Mobile/Cell phone or Tablet and view
your DVR’s cameras from almost anywhere.
3. Accept any requirements of the installation.
4. Tap OPEN to start the app.
Note: Once you have completed the setup steps, next time you want to
run SwannView Plus find the SwannView Plus app on your Phone and

like a small gear) and then tap the ‘Help’ button shown in the list. The manual explains what each
button does and how the different screens and options work in more detail than this guide.

Setting up your Tablet

Note: The Alarm output option is not present on this model. The PTZ option requires
a PTZ camera. The Audio function requires a suitable camera that has a microphone
or a compatible microphone to be connected to your DVR.

Tap ‘Alias’ to name your DVR such as Home,
Office etc. Enter the ‘User Name’ (default admin)
and ‘Password’ (default 12345 or the one you
created in the setup wizard on your DVR earlier).
Tap the ‘Configuration’ button at the
bottom of the icon list on the left, then the +
icon at the top on the right as shown in this
screenshot.
Tap the ‘Save’ icon at the top right of the screen
to save your settings and verify the connection.

Tap the Live View button on the top left to return
to the main viewing screen.
In the device list you will see your DVR, simply
tap and hold the icon and drag it to the Live
View window to automatically start viewing all
channels.
Note: Tap the ‘Help’ icon to open the
manual that explains what each button
does and how the different screens and
options work in greater detail.

Note: Once you have completed the setup steps, next time
you want to run SwannView Plus HD find the SwannView
Plus HD app on your tablet and tap on the icon to run it, if
your tablet is connected to the Internet the cameras you
have set up will automatically start live viewing.
