Please note that by registering and taking the English Literature Admissions Test (ELAT), you are agreeing that data provided as part of
the entry or admission process may be passed to the Admissions Testing Service and the University of Oxford, and also that your data
may be used for research purposes.
If you obtain a place for a course where your ELAT result was used in the admissions process, you also agree that the University of
Oxford may supply the Admissions Testing Service with data about your results in subsequent assessments whilst you are studying at
the University of Oxford for the purposes of on-going predictive validity studies. The Admissions Testing Service will take all reasonable
care to keep your personal details anonymous. You can withdraw your consent for your data to be used in the evaluation exercise by
requesting this in writing from the University of Oxford.
EXAMINATION CENTRE TERMS
The British Council and the examining boards take all reasonable steps to provide continuity of service. We feel sure you will
understand, however, that we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. If
examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as
possible. The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later date.
I understand the examination fees are not refundable in any circumstances.

Instructions for Completing the Registration Form
This registration form should not be returned to the Admissions Testing Service. All entries for the ELAT must be
made by registered centres via the Admissions Testing Service Entries Extranet.

Remarks
 Please note that test fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
 Change of test date and time is not permitted.
 A receipt will be issued and sent to you by post within two weeks of registration. Candidates will also
receive the ELAT candidate number by email after the registration.
 No dictionaries and calculators are permitted for use in ELAT.
 Any changes made to the personal details and/or university applications details must be
communicated to the Examinations Services no later than 15 October 2014 (by 12.00 noon HK time).
 Access Arrangement requests for modified versions of question papers and all other requests should
be submitted by 30 September 2014 (by 12.00 noon HK time). Requests for access arrangement
should be submitted in writing together with medical proof along with your registration form and
payment.
Information required on the application form
 Please give your name, gender, date of birth exactly as provided to the universities or UCAS.
 Please make sure you have put down the university / universities you would like to apply to, the
course code and the respective college name.
 Application form will be available on 2 September 2014.
Examination confirmation
 Candidate will receive an email one week before the test to confirm the examination arrangements.
 If candidate does not receive the confirmation 3 days before the test, please contact Ms Zita Yip on
(852) 29135173 or Ms Eva So on (852) 29135131.
Examination Result
 Results will only be released to candidates who have applied to one of the courses requiring ELAT at
the University of Oxford.
 Results will be released on 15 January 2015 via the Results Online
system: https://results.cambridgeassessment.org.uk/candidates/controller/open/login.html.
 Candidate will receive the login and password on the examination day.
 Results will be passed to the Oxford College where the candidate has applied.
Test Preparation
Specimen tests are available on the ELAT website: http://www.admissionstestingservice.org/for-testtakers/elat/preparing-for-elat/. We strongly recommend you to practise for the test.
