Dr Yip graduated from the University of Hong Kong in year 1987. He

 Dr Yip graduated from the University of Hong Kong in year 1987. He received his training in Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. After which, he moved to join the practice in Singapore General Hospital, Singapore, where he was promoted to senior consultant urologist. He relocated back to Hong Kong as he joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2007‐2011) as Chief and Professor of Division of Urology, Department of Surgery. His current practice is in Pedder Clinic, Hong Kong. His interests include uro‐oncology, laparoscopy, robotic surgery as well as transplantation. He has more than 90 peer reviewed publications to date and has participated in numerous public funded research, charity and educational projects. In addition, he has been involved in the training of laparoscopy and robotic surgery, both locally and in the region. He has conducted training workshops, live surgery demonstration and seminars in countries including China, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. In 2011, he received the Professor GB Ong Travelling Fellowship for visiting and lecturing in major North American centres. He chaired the organizing committee hosting the World Video Urology Conference 2012 in Hong Kong. He is currently council member of the Hong Kong Urological Association and board member of the Urology Board, College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
