Through her schooling, she learned how to communicate with patients and formulate a treatment plan that suits their needs, and wants. Samantha also specializes in pregnancy massage and enjoys helping women through the (sometimes) uncomfortable periods of time until the baby comes, and afterward. Using a variety of techniques that include deep tissue work, trigger point release, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, general swedish massage, and stretching, Sam believes that massage therapy can benefit and increase their well‐being and health. You Ask, We Answer! A new column where we answer common questions that we are asked around our clinic! Do your hands hurt from doing massages? Of course this is individual and complex question without a “yes” or “no” answer. Massage therapy is a repetitive occupation, and with all repetitive motions there is a risk of strains or other injuries. Part of our training at Massage Therapy College is to help us minimize the risk of injury, and how to treat injuries if they occur. Many of our techniques for preventing injuries are what we teach our clients to do at home! Proper posture, taking regular breaks, and applying appropriate hot or cold. Find The Right Therapist For You! We have 12 different therapists to choose from, so if you having a hard time choosing a name from the list, here are some pointers to help get you started. 1.
