Just like skin, all hair is not the same. Genetics, how often you shave, how much hair you have, your body size all are factors in the time it takes to remove hair effectively and thoroughly. If you shave frequently it can make waxing uncomfortable because the hair is coarser. Sometimes the hair breaks at the follicle and light tweezing is necessary so the hair will grow even and lengthen time between your waxing services. It’s recommended that you DO NOT shave between waxing appointments – the idea is to get your hair thinner and waxing experiences more comfortable each time. It takes about 3 weeks to see new hair growth and your appointments can be made farther in advance the more you wax. Most importantly a high quality wax must be used – one that adheres to the hair follicle and not the skin thus for a less painful experience. A bad wax can cause tears, leave the skin sticky and make hair removal very painful for the client. We use Brazilian Blue Hard Wax and Pine Resine Strip. We found it to be the best in a hair depilatory especially with Brazilian waxing. There is no double dipping, a new applicator is used for every application, rest assured our wax is clean and safe.
