P. DeWayne Yates President’s Award The President’s Award was renamed in 2010 in honor and in memory of P. DeWayne Yates, former CEO of Trenton Medical Center (Palms Medical Group). DeWayne, as he was called, passed away in 2010 following an illness of several months. DeWayne loved his community and state and served in many capacities that allowed him to consciously contribute to the uplifting of Florida’s best interests. Each Year the President of the Florida Association of Community Health Centers presents the P. DeWayne Yates President’s Award to an individual of his choosing that has exhibited a love and passion for assisting the health centers in the state of Florida with carrying out their missions.
