Session Description
Agriculture 3.0 is the term coined by Dr. Budzynski to describe the new era
unfolding in American agriculture. The 50 year “green revolution” era from
the mid 20th century to the recent past is being replaced with an era best
described as “No Molecule Wasted” – enhanced efficiency of use of fuel,
Agriculture 3.0: From Consolidation water, chemicals, fertilizer, and seeds. Enabling that era will be a
convergence of technology around platforms, not unlike Microsoft, Google,
to Convergence
and Apple are driving today in the technology area. In agriculture, however,
the convergence play will involve seeds, crop protection, plant nutrition, and
precision agriculture.
Taking Control of Your Destiny
Mark was one of a group of producers who took the initiative to build a
company which financially rewarded them for doing the right thing.
Using ‘The Seven Wonders of Corn Yield’ as a framework, we developed a
The Seven Wonders of High Yield package of optimized management practices and inputs that gives farmers
the greatest opportunity to produce high yields.
Corn
This talk will be focused on variable hybrid corn planting. Why, how, and
where is it going? Through Beck’s Practical Farm Research, we have been
Utilizing Precision Technology for testing variable hybrid planting for the past two years. I will be showing our
Variable Hybrid Planting of Corn equipment used, prescription methods, and the value of changing corn
hybrids automatically based on soil type or management zone changes.
This panel discussion between two hi powered crop physiologists and two
high yield Ontario crop producers will focus on what it takes to achieve
Chasing 300/100 Bushel Corn/Soys:
these consistently high yield levels. Bring your questions and join in the

conversation.
The opportunities and pitfalls of harvesting wheat straw to corn stalks and
beyond. Where does real potential exist to add revenue? Do wet corn stalks
work? What does removal mean to long term soil health? Can soil health
concerns be mitigated. Learn the where, when and how of this opportunity
to your enterprise.

Glyphosate resistant Canada fleabane, giant ragweed and common ragweed
have been confirmed in Ontario. Their mechanism of resistance, distribution
and control will be presented.
Hear the latest strategies and opportunities for higher (most profitable)
wheat yields. Can we beat fusarium? Have your toughest questions ready to
stump @WheatPete at the end.
The session will cover some practical take home approaches to precision ag
as well as a discussion of how the industry will proceed down the road of big
