I hope all is well with everybody!! Our much needed
rain and snow is still teasing us, hopefully it will be here
soon.
On January 29 The Colfax Area Chamber held our
Annual Luncheon at Dine N Dash Café. Thank you,
Stacy and staff for a great lunch. We had a good
turnout of Colfax Business Owners and City Council
Members. We presented our newly elected Board
members and the following week, in a separate meeting
we elected officers for the Chamber. The Current Colfax Area Chamber Officers are:
Judi Cowart-Anderson Secretary, Richard Duncan Treasurer, Lorrie LeFevre Vice
President and Frank Klein President.
We are starting Tax Season, and we have a number of Accountants and
Bookkeepers in town that will assist you with your taxes. Don’t hesitate in calling for
help!! After Tax season we can concentrate on “things to do in Colfax”.
The Sierra Vista Community Center “Spring Green” will be May 3rd at the center. The
SVCC will also hold a “Chocolate Wine and Art Indulgence” at the Center on June 28.
The Colfax Art Community will host, starting in April and continuing through
September, the “Colfax Art Walk”. It is held on the second Friday of the month in
Downtown Businesses, with Artists from all over the area. There will be a few “Ewaste” recycling days in town, The Grammar School will be early in May and the
Lioness date is June 14, the July 3 Celebration, weather permitting, Colfax Railroad
Days Sept 13 and 14, and Winterfest Dec 13. All these events and more are listed
on the “Events Calendar” on the Chamber website www.Colfaxarea.com.
Remember to “Shop in Colfax”, all our Stores and Restaurants could use your
support.
Thank you
