Flower designs. Also being showcased
for the first time are Zuzunaga rugs, a
collection designed in conjunction with

There is also the addition of a gallery of
striking imagery, showing the rugs in a
variety of settings.

This collection of rugs was launched as part of the Queen’s 60th Anniversary Coronation
celebrations. The designs are taken from genuine 1950’s hand painted designs within Brintons
extensive archive. These are recoloured to bring you the original designs influenced by todays
interior trends; retro style with modern colouration to fit perfectly in your home.

Matisse
Mimosa is inspired by a design in Brintons archive, and owned by Brintons, which was
commissioned and created by the artist Matisse in 1951. He said of the design “I want to
recapture the freshness of vision which is characteristic of extreme youth; when all the
world is new”.

Timorous Beasties are one of the UK’s leading textile design firms, making innovative leaps
in transforming interior landscapes with their surreal and provocative designs. “Timorous
Beasties Rugs by Brintons” is a collection of designs which play with the notion of pattern in
the interior space so that it becomes a dramatic feature in its own right. It goes against almost
every conventional rule with many of the designs being large in scale; very directional yet
beautifully drawn and exquisitely coloured to make a unique but easily usable collection of
designs befitting any interior; classical or modern.

Zuzunaga
Zuzunaga is an international design studio specialising in unique, colourful interior projects,
textiles and fashion accessories. Formed by artist and designer Cristian Zuzunaga in 2007,
the company’s mission is to create beautiful products that capture the dynamic nature of
contemporary living.
Brintons have created a collection of luxury rugs as part of a wider collaboration with
Zuzunaga. This new collection is inspired by Cristian Zuzunaga’s explorations of Brintons
extensive design archive in Kidderminster. Visiting the archive, Cristian was captivated by
similarities to his own design principles – squared, pixel based designs, brightly coloured
palettes of contrasting colours evident in weaving and wool dying dating back centuries.
This exciting collaboration is testament to the powerful combination of unique innovative
design and digital imagery with ancient fabrics and state of the art multicolor weaving
technology from Brintons.
