FACILITY: Elevation 4,950 ft. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C
(4). The copy of this certification is on file with USA Swimming. The pool is a 10-lane, 50-meter pool
with non-turbulent lane markers. Water depth 1 to 5 meters from the start end is a constant 12 feet.
Water depth 1-5 meters from the turn end is a constant 3.5 feet. Colorado Timing System with touch
pads, button back-up, 10-lane scoreboard, and electronic horn start.

All athletes m ust hold a 2014 USA Swimming membership card issued by Colorado Swimming, Inc.
Swimmers who are
within the 120-day transfer rule must swim UNATTACHED. No deck registrations will be allowed. The
meet will also be
open to CSI physically impaired, visually impaired or intellectually impaired athletes who have met a
U.S. Paralympics
Can Am qualifying time for their respective sport class.

GEN ERAL M EETIN G M AN D ATO RY Thursday July 24 10:20am. Meet Referee will answer any
questions about the Meet format as well as any last minute changes/reminders from the
Administrative Referee.
SEEDING PRO CED URE & SCRATCH RULES:
Scratch procedures will be enforced as per 207.11.6 of the USA Sw im m ing Rules and
Regulations. All scratches for the first day must be turned in to the scratch box, or emailed by 2:00
p.m. Wednesday July 23, 2014 to the Entry Chairman, [email protected] . The scratch deadline for
Friday’s events will close at 4:00 on Thursday. The scratch deadline for all subsequent days shall be 30
minutes after the published starting time of the final session of each prior day’s events.
Swimmers who no-show a prelim event will be barred from the meet for the rest of that day and must
report to the Meet/Admin Referee for subsequent swims. Swimmers who no-show a final event will be
barred from any further competition for the remainder of the meet.
A sw im m er not reporting to an event, in finals, for which the results were posted for
his/her sw im , w ill be barred from the rem ainder of the m eet.
A $50.00 fee will be
assessed for this failure to appear which m ust be paid before the swim m er can resum e
com petition in any sanctioned event in Colorado. 207.11.6D
RELAYS:
Relay events shall be seeded according to the times reflected on the entry sheet. All sw im m ers m ust
be listed on the m aster sheet to be eligible to com pete on a relay team . Declaration of the
relay must include: (1) First and Last Names, (2) Ages, (3) Order of Swimming, (4) Alternate Swimmers
and USA Swimming ID’s. RELAYS M UST BE DECLARED BY 4:00 PM O N TH URSDAY. Relays
will be seeded after the established declarations deadline has passed, but the order of swimmers
declared on the cards may be changed at any time prior to the start of the heat.

Relays not meeting the qualifying time will not score points or receive awards.
A maximum of one (1) relay team per club per event will be permitted.
No unattached swimmer may swim on a relay or unattached relay. N.T. or "blank spaces" will be deemed
an incorrect entry and will not be accepted. No money will be refunded to teams for an incorrect entry.
All relays will swim as a timed final.

The event will be deck seeded by positive check-in at the General Meeting. Positive check-in will close at
11:00 AM on Thursday.

3. At the Referee's discretion, individual events may be combined by age, sex, and/or distance.
4. 12-U distance events (200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly and 400 IM) will swim in prelims as a timed
final.
RULES:
1. Current 2014 USA Swimming Rules & Regulations will govern the meet, in conjunction
with the following information from CSI.
2. Age as of the first day of the meet will determine the swimmer's age group for
competition - July 24, 2014.
3. The MEET REFEREE will have the final authority on all conduct of the meet.
4. Subm it entry tim es according to the tim e sw am – D O N O T SUBM IT CO N VERTED
TIM ES, i.e. if the Q -tim e was done in short course yards subm it the short course
tim e. Seeding w ill be in accordance w ith USA Sw im m ing Rules and Regulations
207.12.7B
5. No exhibition swimming is allowed.
6. Times must have been achieved between July 1, 2013 and July 17, 2014. A no proof of times
report will be posted on the CSI web site after the entry deadline at www.coloradoswimming.org
Team Entry Chair or coaches will then have 48 hours to correct or provide proof of time.
EXCEPTIO N: Those swim m ers achieving qualifying tim es at the League M eets and
Last Chance m eets the w eekend after the entry deadline.
7. All prelim/final events will be contested in prelims and finals, even if there are fewer
swimmers than are being brought back to finals. Events in finals will be swum with a minimum
of 10 minutes between individual swims. Events will swim 9 in consolations and 9 in finals. All
Timed Final Events will be seeded into 9 lanes.
8. It is mandatory that all finals and consolation final swimmers check in or be checked in by a
coach at the announced time and place prior to their event.
9. Participating teams will be assigned lanes for timing and are expected to provide timer(s) for the
duration of the assignment.
10. All swimwear must conform to USA Swimming Rule and Regulations article 102.8 effective
October 1, 2009. If you have any question on older suits check the 2012 FINA Approved swim suit
list.
11. All team photographers must check-in with the Meet Referee prior to taking any
photographs. No photography allowed from behind the starting platforms. No unaffiliated
photographers allowed, unless otherwise approved by the Meet Referee.
12. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing
areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms.
13. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in
locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited.
14. At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the
supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down.
Any swimmer without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Meet Referee to make
arrangements for such supervision. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA
Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race
from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the
swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
15. The conduct of warm-up and competition will adhere to Colorado Swimming, Inc. policies and
procedures.
! All coaches, officials, parents and swimmers should act in a manner to reduce the risk of any
accidents.
! Coaches are to monitor their swimmers during warm-up/meet and are responsible for their
safety.
! No forward dives or backstroke starts into the water during warm-up unless there is one-way
swimming & starts with coach supervision.
! All athletes, visiting coaches and officials are reminded that the swimming venue may have
areas where additional care needs to be observed. This includes and is not limited to slippery
deck, bleachers and hallways. Proper footwear and caution may help reduce these risks.
!
No running or horseplay is allowed and it is the responsibility of the swimmer, coach, officials
and parents to monitor these activities.
16. Participating team s will be required to provide tim ers. Notification of lane
assignments for timing will be sent to each club and posted on the Colorado Swimming website by
Monday July 21rd. These assignments will be posted at the pool, as well.
17. Any damage to pool property will be grounds for dismissal from the remainder of the meet and
offenders will be held liable to the fullest extent allowed by law.
18. All coaches, and persons acting in any coaching capacity and uniformed officials must display
their USA/CSI cards when on deck. Current certification is mandatory. Coaches and officials that
are in non-compliance will not be allowed on deck.
O FFICIALS: O fficials M eeting w ill begin at the beginning of each session’s warm -up.
This will be a National Certification Meet, Official Qualifying Meet (OQM). Officials wishing to be
evaluated N2 or N3 advancement or recertification, we offer evaluations for the following positions:
N2 Level: Stroke and Turn, Starter, Chief Judge, Deck Referee and Administrative Referee.
N3 Level: Stroke and Turn, Starter, Chief Judge, Deck Referee and Administrative Referee.
! Officials wishing to be evaluated must submit an Application to Officiate, to Kathleen Morris
[email protected] and or Mike Dilli [email protected] no later than July 1, 2014 for assigned
positions, and July 20, 2014 for non-assigned positions. Applications can be found on the
coloradoswimming.org website / officials / applications.
! A mandatory Officials meeting will be held at the START of warm-up for each session, each day of
the meet. A minimum of 4 sessions must be worked during the prelim/final portion of the meet to
apply for national certification.
! No trainees will be allowed on deck for the prelim/final portion of this meet. However, trainees will
be welcome on deck during the timed final 10 & U sessions.
! Officials Uniforms Prelims: white polo shirts over blue shorts, long pants or skirts or skorts.
! Finals Uniforms: white polo shirts over blue long pants or skirts or skorts, no short pants at finals
please.
! White socks and shoes at both sessions
ENTRIES:
Swimmers may enter up to five (5) individual events per day, but must scratch down to and swim a
maximum of three (3) individual events per day by using the scratch box and rules 207.11.6.
Swim m ers m ay CO M PETE in a m axim um of 7 individual events and two relays for the
entire m eet and m ust pay for all events ENTERED , with no refund for any scratched
events.
Teams may enter one (1) relay per event.
ENTRY FEES:
$10.00 for each relay event.
$ 5.00 for each individual event. ($1.00 of each individual event will go to the CSI Support Fund)
$ 9.00 per swimmer facility surcharge (Includes all swimmers listed on the master sheet for relays).

ELECTRONIC ENTRY PROCEDURES AND DEADLINE:
! Entries must be emailed to the Entry Chair, using either Hy-Tek Team Manager File and/or
Team Unify Export. Please attach a PDF or Word Document of the team entry report.
! The entry chair must receive all entries no later than 6:00 pm on Thursday July 17, 2014.
! Paym ent and hard copies of entries m ust be hand delivered or mailed and received by
Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 6:00pm.

LAST CH AN CE EN TRY EXCEPTIO N S:
Entries from times achieved at Last Chance Meets held the weekend prior to the meet. Approved
Last Chance meets are Colorado Torpedoes Southern Colorado Summer invite, Loveland Finale,
ACES Last Chance Open, HRA Last Chance Open and CSST Last Chance. This is only for
swimmers who have not previously qualified in that event. No previous times will be adjusted.
! Last Chance Entry procedure: New qualifications and payment must be
submitted to the meet director at the last chance meets. The Meet director will then
forward all last chance qualifications to the Silver State meet entry chair. Entries
will not be accepted from individuals or team s, only from last chance
host.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
The Entry Chairman must receive emailed entries no later than 6:00 pm on Thursday July 17, 2014,
hand delivered or mailed entries with checks and hard copies included must be received by 6:00 PM

SPECIAL IN FO RM ATIO N :
• There will be “NO SMOKING” anywhere in the facility or in areas frequented by swimmers.
• Tents and sunshades may be set up in the grassy area immediately adjacent to the pool. They may
be kept overnight but neither EPIC, FAST or CSI are responsible for any losses. Stakes in the
ground are not permitted. We do ask that you police your area and remove all trash before
departing.
• Spectators are asked to refrain from standing along the rail in front of the grandstand.
• NO spectators will be permitted on deck or in swimmer locker rooms at any time during the meet.
• Deck space is reserved for swimmers, officials, participating team affiliated coaches and working
volunteers.

double check for accuracy. This checklist must be signed by the coach and returned with the
