MARTE MLEI IEE/13/465 Mr.Alessandro Carbonari Ancona, 19 March 2014 Energy consumption bills Example regarding: “San Elpidio a Mare” hospital 1. Consumption gas methane 2. Primary Energy MARTE MLEI IEE/13/465 Mr.Alessandro Carbonari Ancona, 19 March 2014 Need for accurate input data - Development of an accurate energy model of the buildings, which is affected by: - - Construction technology and details; Use patterns and working hours; Equipment and systems and their actual operation; Operation, maintenance; Records of past renovations/changes, and so forth. Reduction of uncertainty and of the number of adjustments factors; Residual uncertainty could be faced through a gradual implementation of renovation interventions, when actual benefits could be evaluated by the service provider during the execution of the contract period, thanks to: high flexibility provided by low cost refurbishment of single sub-systems. MARTE MLEI IEE/13/465 Mr.Alessandro Carbonari Ancona, 19 March 2014 Active control approach: benefits - - This kind of buildings are subject to changeable occupancy and daily hours of operation; There might be opportunities to get benefits from adaptive behaviour of a building to different uses of the several divisions of the buildings A series of low cost and fast improvements can be designed and planned Energy management opportunities may be implemented gradually over the years and related benefits measured This refurbishment approach can be customized to various needs of the many small community hospitals in this area MARTE MLEI IEE/13/465 Mr.Alessandro Carbonari Ancona, 19 March 2014
