Annual Pearl Sale - NEW Date and Place - Saturday, February 7 at The Vault (Tulsa)
In the spirit of Juliette Low, who sold her precious strand of pearls to finance the Girl Scout
Movement in 1912, we invite you to our 6th Annual Pearl Sale. Find something special for your
valentine or begin a tradition of presenting pearls to your daughter every year she is a Girl Scout.
There is no cost to attend, bring a friend, find pearls from $10 to $10,000 along with OU and OSU
pearl accessories! Join us between 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Tom Tom Room at The Vault, 620 S
Cincinnati Ave, Tulsa. Contact Paula Hubbs at 918-745-5201 for more info!
Consider a donation to Girl Scouts!
Finding it difficult to think of a perfect gift for the special people in your life? Consider a gift in their
honor to the Girl Scouts. The honoree will be mailed a personalized letter from the council letting
them know a gift was made in their name and who made the gift. For gifts of $1000 (and above) their
letter will be hand-delivered along with a bag full of Girl Scout Cookies, if the donor so chooses. No
gift is too small and all gifts are tax deductible. Contact Paula Hubbs at 918-745-5201 for more info!

Tips for Healthy Children and Families
Here are some great tips for kids 5-12!
Start the day with a healthy breakfast. It refuels your body and gives you energy for the day.
Let kids help plan one meal each week and eat together as often as possible.
Drink plenty of fluids. Choose water, low-fat or nonfat milk and low calorie or diet beverages.
Serve a variety of foods.
Council Level Adult Recognitions due February 15
The Adult Recognitions Guide was distributed in December's takeouts. Adult recognitions
whether at the service unit or the council level are a great way to show appreciation to the
volunteers who promote the mission of Girl Scouting. Be sure to submit your completed
nomination packets with all required letters of support to your local council office by the
deadline for consideration. Contact Nikki Wolf with questions at
[email protected] or 918-423-0826, ext 504 or 888-691-5765, ext 504.
Get Ready For The OLYMPICS!
Girl Scout Olympics is March 28. This year, you sign up on the website in teams. If your troop has eight
girls, you will sign up and pay a onetime $10 fee for the entire group. You will list the team name,
participants, etc., by using the link in the confirmation email. If you have more than 10 girls that want
to participate, you can create two teams.
