REGION VII IS “GROUND BREAKING!”
Welcome to the first issue of the ACUI Region VII Newsletter. This serves as
yet another first for Region VII!

2014 Conference Chair

It has been a busy year and true to the new regional structure, we are
delivering a new regional experience. We have focused on delivering education and development opportunities year-round. We have increased our regional conference experience with more than 50 different educational sessions and increased opportunities to connect with our corporate sponsors.
Our personal network has grown to include hundreds of more contacts with
whom to engage and learn. Member schools will have a great opportunity to
identify with other campuses just like theirs. Our selection process for volunteers is more evident and streamlined, and the volunteer experience is more
meaningful with a process for feedback, self-reflection, and evaluation!
Ryan Bissonnette
So, as you can see, we’ve been “breaking ground” all year long. We are excited to share our love and commitment with ACUI Region VII with you!

REGIONAL LEADERSHIP TEAM
HIGHLIGHT
In each Region VII Newsletter, one member of the Regional Leadership Team will
be highlighted. In this edition, we speak to Stacey Fisher, 2014 conference chair.
Stacey is the assistant director for Wilson Commons Student Activities at the University
of Rochester. For the past seven years, she has been working with student organizations
and their executive boards as well as with organization leadership trainings on campus.
Her first introduction to ACUI was the annual conference in New Orleans in 2008 where
she also co-presented on campus sustainability.
Stacey shared her thoughts with us on the “Ground Breaking” Region VII conference.
There are a variety of things that Stacey is excited about regarding Region VII’s first
conference, and they can all be summed up in one word: celebration. The celebration
