VJ TECHNOLOGIES Vi3 Imaging Software VJ Technologies develops proprietary industrial imaging software for complex imaging applications. Vi-3 Control Software provides a common platform to enable control of every aspect of the inspection, from motion control to image acquisition and archival. Automatic Defect Recognition (ADR) encompasses the post-processing of images for the automatic detection of defects in pre-programmed regions of interest. ADR proprietary imaging software is used to evaluate analog and digital radiographic data without operator intervention. Regions of interest (ROI) are pre-programmed using acquired digital radiographic data. The software then analyzes each of the specified regions for defects and provides statistical process control data and may be configured to automatically alert quality process personel when non-conforming material or process deviations exceed programmed levels. Acquired Image Advanced Defect Enhancement (ADE) enhances digital x-ray images contrast and brightness, optimizing clarity and definition while reducing operator fatigue. ADE enhances low contrast structures across gradients due to the different thickness of the material. In milliseconds, enhanced images show virtually all discontinuities, eliminating the need for operator adjustments. Costs are reduced through shorter inspection duration and increased consistency in operator decision- making. Inspection quality is greatly enhanced by optimized image enhancement. VJT’s proprietary Vi3 image analysis software automatically detects and evaluates defects based on user-defined inspection criteria, increasing probability of detection (POD), uptime and productivity specifications. Vi-3 is a highly-customizable modular interface to adapt to custom X-ray inspection solutions. Vi3 provides a common Enhanced Image platform to enable control of every aspect of the inspection, from motion control to image acquisition and archival. Sophisticated image processing routines, such as the ADE filter, are provided to aid in the inspection process. VI3 also maintains an open architecture by exposing numerous interfaces to a wide range of external devices such as PLCs, database servers, etc. DICONDE compatibility enables VI3 to be deployed at an enterprise level over multiple datacollection and review stations.
