CIRCULAR :Sub : INTER-COLLEGIATE CRICEKT TOURNAMENT (MEN) 2014-15

The Principals of Colleges participating in the InterCollegiate CRICKET Tournament for Men 2014-15.
Sir/Madam,
Principals of Colleges participating in the Inter-Collegiate Cricket
Tournament (Men) 2014-15 are hereby informed that the Inter-Collegiate
Cricket (M) Tournament will commence from 18/11/2014. They are requested
to inform the students accordingly.
Guidelines and instructions:1. Maintenance of Discipline :
In order to maintain the law and discipline during the tournament
game, it is necessary that a senior staff member of college is deputed to
be in-charge of the college team. He should insure that the students of
his college maintain strict discipline and behave in manner which would
obviate the possibility of any complaint being received from the club
authorities on whose ground, the match is staged.
2. Use of Cricket Balls :
The contesting colleges should provide Cricket Balls to their
respective teams at their own cost. S. G. Tournament / Three Star pady /
for Zonal & for inter Zonal S.G. Tournament Ball have been approved by
the Cricket Committee of the University for being used in the
Tournament.
3. Payment of (I) Umpiring & (ii) Ground Charges.
The person is in-charge of the college team should make the necessary
payment to the Umpire and the ground authorities immediately on his arrival
on the ground i.e. before the commencement of play.
i) Umpiring Charges :
There will be two umpires for a Match. Each contesting colleges has to
make the payment to ONE OF THEM , at the rate of Rs.1200/- (Rupees
One Thousand Two hundred only ) per day or as applicable as M.C.A. In
the event of the match being over on the first day itself. The second
day’s payment is also require to be paid to the umpires. In case, the
match is abandoned or walk over the umpiring charges will have to be
paid.
Please note that from this year, University will not reimburse the
umpiring charges. Therefore, participating colleges are requested to obtained
umpire receipt on college letter head for their records.

Ground
Rent & Pavilion or Tent, Table chair charges :
The contesting teams have to bear the expenses on hire of furniture,
tents or pavilion charges including ground charges during their tournament
games.
While placing the Cricket grounds at the disposal of the University, the
Clubs have laid down certain conditions as per their normal procedure. One of
these conditions required that the work pitching, tents and supply of furniture
etc. (for which the concerned college have to bear the expenses) should be
assigned to the authorised contractors/ground men of the club only. THE
TEAM MANAGER OR CAPTAIN OF THE COLLEGE TEAM SHOULD BE
INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT THE CONCERNED GROUND AUTHORITIES WELL
IN ADVANCE FOR MAKING THE NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS FOR TENT
AND FURNITURE AND TO ENSURE THAT THE CONDITIONS STIPULATED BY
THEM ARE STRICTLY OBSERVED.
The following ground rent/pavilion, tent etc. charges to be paid to the
ground authorities as per guidelines of the Mumbai Cricket Association. .
The ground rent Rs.2,000/- with tent is to be equally shared by the
contesting colleges. In case the match is over on the first day itself the second
day’s ground rent is also required to be paid to the ground authorities.
4. Return of the Score Sheets :
The participating colleges, should return the enclosed score
sheet, duly filled in, to the office of the undersigned immediately of
the conclusion of its tournament game. A College which Wins the
match should collect another score sheet for its subsequent round
of the tournament.
5. Rules for the conduct of Tournament :
The tournament should be played according to the M.C.A. MODEL
RULES relating to the conduct of the Cricket Tournament for Men. The
matches in this tournament will be governed by the said rules. The some major
rules as follows:
1) one day match (45 over’s) – toss at 9.30 a.m. and match starts from
9.45 a.m. (Blower limit)
2) two days match - 6 hours game.
3) postponement will not be given in any circumstances except if players more
than three from one college playing board matches and semi final onwards.
If your College has not been paid Annual Sports Contribution, your
College team will not allow to participant in Inter-Collegiate Cricket
Tournaments.
