Sproat requested designation because in the first half
of the 20th century,the parsonages for three churches
were located on W. Hill St. According to tradition, the
alley behind 2 of the 3 manses informally was called
"Doxology Lane" because that is what the 3 pastors
sang as they walked down thte alley together on
Sunday mornings.
Ten-year renewal of designation 2001-012. Tim
Harrington requested designation due to the part that
Mr. Lienhart development and management of Mattis
Commercial Park from its inception in the mid-80's to
his retirement.
Ten-year renewal of designation 2001-044. Morgan
Powell requested designation to commemorate the
dedication and leadership of Mr. Toalson to his
community.
