RACE 1:
8 TOMEI is gutting back to 5 ½ furlongs after opening
a 3-length lead and yielding late to finish 3rd – beaten
three-quarters of a length at 6 furlongs.
6 PEARL OF A GIRL moved to the Randi Persaud
barn via the claim after breaking from tough post 11,
stalking 4-wide and getting up under the shadow of
the wire to score. Trainer Persaud, who also
conditions Tomei, has Rajiv Maragh on this half of the
uncoupled entry. 5 LA MARQUESSE will try $6,250
open competition after a pair vs hard-knocking
$10,000 optional claimers. Trainer Jose Garoffalo has
Carlos Oliver named to ride.

RACE 2:
1 ROVAVEVI will depart from the inside after
breaking from Post 13, stalking the pace, making a 3wide bid, and weakening to finish a respectable 3rd vs
$25,000 maidens going 7 ½ furlongs. The stretchout
to a mile looks like a positive move.
3 SUMMERS BACK is stretching out to a mile again
after responding to a drop in competition with a 4th
place finish vs this caliber of competition going 5
furlongs. 5 LYING EYES is stepping up a notch after
setting a pressured pace and finishing 2nd in front of
Rovavevi last out. Trainer Steve DiMauro has
Eduardo Nunez in the saddle.

RACE 3:
1 LOVERBIL was given some time off after a pair of
perfectly timed wins at the distance, which includes
the neck victory in the $105,000 Claiming Crown
Express. Trainer Jorge Navarro has the gelding
training sharply for the return. 2 ALACO CASTLE is
turning back to his most accomplished distance (25-78-3) after dueling throughout and finishing 2nd to hardknocking Blings Express going 7 furlongs. Trainer
Peter Walder has Paco Lopez in the saddle.
7 RAVELO’S BOY is making his first start since
rallying late to finish 3rd vs similar opposition going 7
furlongs on the GP West main track. Trainer
Giuseppe Iadisernia has the 6-year-old firing bullets
over the Palm Meadows training track.

RACE 4:
1 AWESOME UNION is making his first start since
finishing 2nd in back-to-back $50,000 maiden races at
the distance. Trainer Stanley Gold has Jesus Rios
trying to get the gelding out of 2nd gear.
7 YOURDREAMSORMINE has his claiming tag sliced
in half after bumping at the start, stalking the pace,
and finishing an even 3rd vs $100,000 maidens at the
distance. 8 BRETT PARK is turning back to threequarters of a mile after dueling for the lead and
weakening to finish 4th – as the favorite – vs similar
going a mile.

RACE 5:
3 FRANK’S STAR is stretching out to 6 ½ furlongs
after dueling for the lead and finishing 2nd in her
promising 6 furlong debut for trainer Mike Petro.
4 AVALANCHE GIRL is a daughter of Bernstein
debuting for trainer Chad Brown with a solid work tab
showing over the Palm Meadows training track. The
4-year-old gets Lasix and the services of leading jock
Javier Castellano.
2 DANCING ONTHEMOON,
another from trainer Chad Brown, the daughter of
Malibu Moon is also making her career debut with a
solid Palm Meadows workouts showing, Lasix added,
and with John Velazquez in the saddle.

RACE 6:
3 TWIZZLE is a son of Speightstown debuting for
trainer Todd Pletcher with 10 Palm Beach Downs
workouts showing. The colt gets Lasix and jockey
Edgard Zayas for the 5-furlong turf debut.
7 SEA STORM is trying the turf with Lasix added after
dueling throughout and getting caught late in his 6furlong career debut on the Woodbine Polytrack.
Trainer Malcom Pierce, 23% with first-time turf, has
John Velazquez named to ride. 5 GOLDEN BOOT is
a son of Medaglia d’Oro debuting for trainer Nick Zito
with a series of swift morning workouts showing. The
colt starts his campaign with Lasix and jockey Luis
Saez at the controls.
3 TIGER BOURBON exits the same race as March
Reward to merit a spot on the ticket. Trainer Eddie
Kenneally, a strong 30% with horses making the 2nd
start after a 45-180 days layoff, has Corey Lanerie in
the saddle. 9 SWEET LEW, now in the George
Weaver barn, the son of Empire Maker makes his first
start since hitting the board in three consecutive turf
races vs similar quality up north. Trainer Weaver has
Jose Lezcano atop this major player.

RACE 7:
2 BEAUTY SURPRISE, now in the Giuseppe
Iadisernia barn, the daughter of After Market makes
her local debut after a solid Fall campaign on both the
Belmont and Aqueduct turf courses. The new
connections tab go-to jock Luca Panici to ride.
5 BLISSTERING STRIKE is turning back to 7 ½
furlongs, and facing $35,000 ‘2-lifetime’ claimers, after
rallying 5-wide to get beat 2 ½ lengths vs $50,000
optional claimers going a mile and a sixteenth. Trainer
Kelly Rubley has Paco Lopez in the irons.
3 SEA BUBBLE is dropping into this ‘2-lifetime’
claimer after breaking from Post 10, tracking the pace
and finishing 8th vs considerably tougher first-level
allowance runners in her first start back from a 10month Jane Cibelli spots her perfectly today.
RACE 10:
11 SUMBA SUNSET is back in the allowance ranks
after following a 3rd place finish vs. $75,000 optional
claimers on a ‘yielding’ Aqueduct turf with a troubled
outing (stumbled start) in the $75,000 Tropical Oaks
here on Dec 20th. The daughter Street Cry breaks
from the outside with Luis Saez in the saddle.
10 ZLOTY, now in the Todd Pletcher barn, makes her
first start since finishing 3rd in the Chelsea Flower
Stakes at Belmont more than 15 months ago. Trainer
Pletcher has the daughter of Exchange Rate working
strongly for the return to action; Javier Castellano
rides. 5 NIGHT SONG is stretching out to a mile and
a sixteenth after recovering from a troubled start
(hopped) to finish a fast-closing 2nd – beaten a length
– vs this caliber of competition going a mile.

RACE 8:
7 TENNESSEE is a $1.1 million dollar son of Giant’s
Causeway debuting for trainer Todd Pletcher with 8
Palm Beach Downs workouts showing. The colt starts
his career with Lasix and John Velazquez in the
saddle. 10 GRAND BILI is a son of City Zip who is
working strongly over the track in preparation for his
career debut. Trainer Gustavo Delgado secures the
services of red-hot leading jock Javier Castellano.
1 DR HARLAN is cutting back to 5 ½ furlongs, and
breaking from the rail, after breaking a step slow,
making a middle move, and finishing 4th in his 7furlong career debut. Trainer Giuseppe has Luca
Panici handling the always adventurous inside post.
RACE 11:
4 MUMTAAZAH is making her first start since a
promising turf debut here on Dec 14th in which she
lacked room on the turn and still managed to finish 2nd
at the distance. Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin has Corey
Lanerie returning on the $525,000 daughter of Tapit.
2 PLACE CARD is turning back to a mile and a
sixteenth after returning from the layoff to finish a lateclosing 3rd going a mile & three-sixteenths. Trainer
Graham Motion, 20% with the 2nd start after a 45-180
days layoff, has Rafael Hernandez atop the daughter
of Lemon Drop Kid. 6 SINGFIT is stepping up into
maiden special weight company after rallying to finish
2nd – as the favorite - in her local turf debut vs
$50,000 maidens going a mile. Trainer Chad Brown
has Javier Castellano in the saddle again.

RACE 9:
7 MARCH REWARD is dropping to the $20,000 level,
and turning back to 7 ½ furlongs, after surrendering
the lead to finish 4th - as the favorite – vs $35,000 ‘2lifetime’ claimers going a mile. Trainer Mike Maker
keeps the status quo with Javier Castellano in the
saddle.
